I saw Kaushiki Chakraborty in Denver tonight. She’s one of the best Indian classical singers. In addition to the singer and drummer there were a harmonium player and a sarangi player. There was a great deal of showing off by everybody on stage. It would have been worth a lot more than the $25 I paid.

The Cure launched their tour yesterday. They played for three hours! They dug up some deep cuts and played new songs from the album that Robert has been sitting on for years. And merch is cheap—$25 for shirts! I’m going to love it when June 6 finally comes around.

I really didn’t expect to post anything in this thread, but it looks like I’ll be going to CosmoFest in June.
The concert is outdoors. So, I’m a bit less anxious about it.

I will go in to the exhibit tent. It’s pretty spacious, but it gets packed with people, I’ll get strategic and get in to the companies I want to visit and get out.

The Grissom clinic is probably my most anxious moment.

Elton Rohn and Reckless Bryan are not on my must-see list. :P.
I’ve heard that Rohn does put on a hell of a show, though.

I like 54-40 but have never seen them live.
Same with Lighthouse except when some of the band sat in with my friends’ band at a pub in Niagara Falls.

Going to see the Interrupters and Frank Turner next week for my friend’s 50th bday.

Major engine failure in my car yesterday, diagnosed today. Can't do an overnight to another city when money is so tight in order to get me mobile in a short time. ( I can't get to work any other way)

Sorry that my tickets for the Scorpions are going to waste, but that was money from 2 years ago.

I still have Mammoth WVH end of the month at least.

I have 2 tickets to see Clutch, Saturday August 5th at the Fillmore in Denver.

Some of the bands I’d like to see are playing near me but in the middle of the week. I prefer weekend shows.

I’m considering Tedeschi Trucks Band for Saturday, July 29 at Red Rocks in Morrison, CO.

Tedeschi Trucks is a must!

I bought 2 tickets to Tedeschi Trucks Band for Saturday, July 29th at Red Rocks in Morrison, CO. They’re excellent seats for that venue. I’ve wanted to see them for awhile. I’ve seen Derek Trucks twice with The Allman Brothers Band but that was a very long time ago.

(edit) I just bought 2 tickets to Peter Gabriel in Denver at Ball Arena, Monday, Oct 16th. I should have my head examined for paying that much for a concert in a huge echo chamber of a sports arena. But, I have a good friend coming into town specifically to see this show. So, I bit the bullet. It’s only money and we’ve been friends since high school.

My g/f and I were gifted 2 tickets to Ed Sheeran in Tampa over the weekend. Pretty good show.

I was kicking myself for not going out to California to see Siouxsie Sioux at the Cruel World festival. I’m glad I didn’t; she’s an example of an artist who really needs to use a backing track.

The last time I saw her/Banshees was on the first Lollapalooza tour…but yeah, a lot of time has passed. I still give her props for getting back out there, total icon.

Mammoth WVH last night was superb. Only the guitars were mixed too loud and drowned the vocals. He was still spot on, but just down in the mix. They were just opening for Metallica and I believe their tech didn't take the stage volume of 3 guitarists into account in such a small place. Club was again just a small place. We were standing towards the back and only 25 feet from the stage. Glad I got this opportunity.

Band was super tight as well. Opening act was a band called Diplomatic Immunity, which also were very good. The singer/guitarist had some chops and presence for days.

Last Thursday thru Saturday we did the 3-night run @Wolf Trap w/ the Avett Brothers.

They never disappoint. Missed them in 2022, so it was great to catch them as or 1st three shows of 2023.

This weekend is DMB 2-nights in Charleston, SC.
