Just picked up tickets for Tori Amos in July. Pretty good seats too.
I'd be all over that.Just got an alert that Adrian Belew tickets are going on sale for a show this summer. I can't find what kind of show it will be, his website doesn't even list dates out that far. He's been touring with Jerry Harrison.
<edit> yeah an extension of the RIL tour with Harrison. And the backup band is a Les Claypool thing. Dang!
The one I saw near me has Fishbone opening I think. I haven't seen them since 94!Les Claypool is doing a Green tour with Flying Frog Brigade headlining and various openers depending on the tour leg. Belew & Harrison are doing a leg w/ their Remain In Light thing. If they or Fishbone were the openers for the closest show to me I'd consider going, but the FFB isn't enough of a pull on its own for me.
I wonder if the parking lot is anywhere near as crazy as it was for the Dead. I probably went to 4 or 5 Dead shows, but never had tickets, so never went in. I think there were just as many people in the parking lot as were in the stadium. Some of the best shows I've ever been tooA buddy called me and asked if I wanted to go to London for the Jeff Beck tribute at the Royal Albert Hall. Ticket prices weren't too bad but after factoring in flights, food and lodging, I had to pass. What we did agree on (which is not popular here) is Dead and Company on June 15. This is their last go around and I have never seen this incarnation so I opted to take the plunge.
Got my notification that I'm on the "verified fan" wait list. I guess I'm expecting a text at some point in the next few days that tells me I can get in queue.I just got tickets for The Cure. If I’d have known how low the prices would be I would have logged in earlier to be at the front of the line. I expected the best seats to be hundreds of dollars—they were $130. Literally $130 to be in the pit twenty feat from Robert Smith. But I still got tickets in the amphitheater, I won’t be stuck on the lawn if it rains, so I’m happy.
I'll let you know.I wonder if the parking lot is anywhere near as crazy as it was for the Dead. I probably went to 4 or 5 Dead shows, but never had tickets, so never went in. I think there were just as many people in the parking lot as were in the stadium. Some of the best shows I've ever been too
