2023 concert thread

It was very interesting to see Peter Gabriel and then Queen as my two most recent shows. Most bands I'm seeing these days are usually changing up sets nightly, providing ample room for improv/jamming, and certainly NOT having any choreography. I appreciate this different kind of performance, it feels like it's been ages that I've seen anything like it outside of actual theater in ages...if ever (at this level).

Marc Maron absolutely killed tonight.

Wife and I just bought tickets for Green Day/Smashing Pumpkins/Rancid when they come to San Francisco in September. Definitely not cheap, and a couple of decades late, but better late than never.

Just had a great time at 2 DMB shows in C-Ville. Next Saturday it's Brett Goldstein at the Warner, which I think is our last 2023 show. Actually, there a couple of plays we want to see too, but aren't sure about...

Very good year for concerts/shows.

He's old, he's lost a kidney, nobodies talking about him anymore, the songs of his I like are 50 years old. He's playing The Whiskey in the spring.
I will go.

I'm considering going to see 30 Seconds to Mars in August but I am too old to buy tickets this far out anymore. Too much opportunity to talk myself out of it and then have to sell tickets.

We can’t make tonight’s Brett Goldstein show in DC…anyone here in the area and want the tix? Can transfer right now through livenation app
