Congrats tele..a buddy of mine has an emperor scorpion and it's a great piece. Sig isn't generally the most traditional spec 1911 but a great shooter

I'm not a purist by any means. Accuracy is at the top of my list though. :thu: I'll report back later this week.

His is the only sig 1911 I've used but it's got a really nice trigger (early version flat face w/ ~5lb pull), good bushing fit & runs reliably. Nice F&F.
He's put a little bit of everything through it and when I've used it, we had his reloads and some freedom reman. Shoots like a good 1911 should.

I'm pretty happy I was able to snag that particular Sig. I went in to look at the ruger, SA, and the Remington R1. I wasn't thinking Sig or Kimber at all. Pretty psyched for Tuesday to roll around. :thu:

I really like the looks of that 1911, tele. Overly blingey 1911s always turned me off but that one just looks like serious business

i agree. race guns are fine, if you're playing shooting games.
but all that stuff is really in the way for a daily pistol.
a set of 3 dot sights, flat checkered main spring housing, nice grips, maybe a checkered front strap clip on. and you should be good.

Lemee show off my new twins and try to stoke up some revolver love. Dan Wessons. One in 22 LR and one in 357 mag. I met a private seller at my local gun shop to buy the .357 and the shop had just happened to have the .22 in the display case for a great price. They made such a nice pair I had to get both. chewie0

I have lots of love for revolvers :thu: I usually prefer them actually. The 1911 is the only auto pistol I own now.

Those look great! Nice score.

Those are some great looking DWs. Always have a thing for vent rib .357s

Thanks...and cuz they're Dan Wessons I could switch things around and have a vent rib .22 :)

Actually I've been thinking about mounting a scope on the non-vent-rib barrel shroud and then I could switch things around and have the scope on either one.

Neato! I have a stainless DW 357 mag pack with the 2, 6, and 10 inch barrels and a couple of grips. The damn thing is super accurate and the trigger is like glass smooth. The ability to swap barrels is a handy feature.

Those pistol packs are super cool.

I like the single action trigger on both of my DW's a lot, but haven't been overly impressed with the double action. I did some work to polish them up, and that helped, but I'm still just kinda meh on it. I think it's because they have a definite 2-stage action. Moreso than anything else I've shot. Gonna take some getting used to.
