Achtung! Who else doesn't like

I'm pretty indifferent. I hate winter, though, so... most of my anger this time of year is being directed at the cold and early sunsets.
 
Not a fan at all.
Due to my parents being slavic orthodox, we only had the other xmas, but even that one sucks as well.
 
If you have to put anything other than liquor in your coffee than you don't deserve any in the first place. :mad:
 
Mixed feelings. Always costs too much and have to put up with family you can't stand. Good part is it's two weeks out of work scoffing and drinking.

This for me as well.
 
I've gotten pretty good at tuning out all the consumerism nonsense. I'm fine with Christmas, we get a couple free days off and even when working the second half of December is usually comparitively low-stress in the office.
 
Autumn and Winter are my favorite seasons. I was raised with Christmas by two folks that didn't maintain the religion of their families. Although I too hate the rampant consumerism and it always ends up costing way too much, I love the time with family. I've been lucky enough to get about two weeks off around the X-mas/New Years weeks for most of my life and it's something I always look forward to. Religion only factors into for me through my wife and her choice to raise our kids as Christians. They're both cool with it and it isn't hurting anyone, so I just roll with it.

Sorry to all of you that find the season unbearable. All the best and know that it'll be over before you know it...never soon enough for the haters, way too soon for the lovers. Cheers to you all.
 
I don't feel good about perpetuating the Santa myth by telling my 2 year old that there's this invisible guy watching him and if he behaves, the invisible guy will give him a bike and some other toys.

But then again, when trying to keep a 2 year old in line while juggling a 7month old, you use every tool at your disposal. And Santa is quite effective.

I won't draw any parallels with organized religion...
