Do you use headphones to hear everything, crappy laptop speakers, some type of bluetooth speaker?

built in iMac speakers

on the ipad either the built in or I have a portable bluetooth speaker (one of those 360 degree things like a soda can) I use sometimes as well

Large tower speakers in my living room. I have my large TV as the monitor, wireless keyboard and mouse, and the sound goes out through a receiver to a sound system. The room is large (which is good, lets sound breathe) and there are big tower speakers.

Most often lately, I am streaming digitally, through Roon, but use this system. On which I also play records, tapes or CD's.

This area is now also my home office, and from where I am mostly working except for some limited court and related, as we home shelter to try to get through this crap we are in.

Screenshot from Roon, a program I use to manage and access my digital files on my computer, and also via Tidal stream.

Also, we have some other Bluessound brand speakers in the house (2) and 2 other streamers to other areas in the house that also have small vintage type stereos to amplify and deliver the music to the room after receiving the input from the Bluesound streamer.

All 3.

If I am in the kitchen I use a bluetooth speaker, it's quite good for what it is. I also connect my laptop up to some decent external speakers if I am listening to youtube or something in my living room.

I would say most of the recorded music I listen to is made for headphones. Or extremely loud stereo system with the whole works.

From the poppier music to the moodier music, I don't know if I trust speakers for normies. :embarrassed:

In my Jeep grand Cherokee whoever owned it before me had a really nice JL audio subwoofer installed with an amp, etc. EW , High on Fire, etc sound amazing, almost a religious experience when cranked and cruising down the road. heck even in my old Nissan truck i just had a basic stereo and speakers but in that little cab it was super intense. That kind of music needs power and volume!

Bones - I've had my puters hooked up to Avid column speakers from 197? for ages. I have too much tinnitus to listen to music or anything else at any kind of appreciable volume on headphones. Was never a big headphones listener to begin with.
