On Saturday, August 28, 2015, I was most fortunate to see Greg Koch & the Tone Controls with guest J D Simo.
This show was sponsored by McNally Smith College of Music in Saint Paul, MN.
Greg & J D burned through a couple of old Allman Brother tunes, 'Whipping Post' & 'Blue Sky.'
It was beyond magical; it was one of the most thrilling musical performances of the decade for me.
Here is a video of 'Blue Sky' from the era; about three weeks before I saw them in Saint Paul.
