The Whiskey Thread

My old friend Oslo called me up

I've been nursing these. The rare breed is uncut out of the barrel and even though it's 108 proof it sips nice.

First taste.

Very mild aroma.
I'm not good at describing complex flavors at all but my biggest impression is how easy this drinks. Among the smoothest bourbons I've had.
The aftertaste is sweet.
I could pound these and get in real trouble in a hurry.
 
Second and third tastes.
This is the smoothest whiskey I think I've had.
There's no bite at all. It goes down so easy. Wow. I could get fucked up on this in a hurry.
I like this stuff. It'd be very easy to look down and find the bottle half gone in a hurry. It's good.
 
I see that it's available up here. I'll have to get some and give it a try.

What's expensive to you guys in the U.S.?

It's $65 here.

I've seen it run $50-60 depending on the location. It's not an everyday drinker, but it's worth checking out for sure.
I bet it will get scarce and super expensive soon.
 
Only 80 proof though, I'm open to suggestions for something smooth with a bit more kick to it...that I can buy over here, of course :embarrassed:
