Recommend something on netflix...

I didn’t even finish the last season. Negan is way too over the top, but he isn’t the only reason, I just think I’m burned out on that show.
I'm still giving it a go this season. I'm gonna watch it tonight (no cable I have to wait a day to buy newest episodes). This will likely be a make or break season for me. I agree Negan is way too over the top but honestly the show is just kinda getting tired. The only reason I stick it out is I feel like I've invested so much time into the series and I hate to quit things. My tv watching allegiance has drifted to Stranger things and American Horror story (I was also all about Bates motel for the four or five seasons it was on WHICH BTW Bates motel is avaliable on Netflix now and it's a hell of a grerat show. A show that got better and better each season. I recommend it if you are even the slightest horror fan).

Suffering through The Walking Dead season 7. A stunning example of a juggernaut franchise tethered to shit writing. The Negan character is so over the top that he's almost unwatchable, and the plot holes have me yelling at my iPad.

I felt the same way and just gave up. The show is just too redundant to keep dragging on. And the mother of all plot holes is constantly on display: how has all the flesh not rotted off the zombies and left them immobile? Even in northen Virginia the summers are long and hot enough that those zombies would have been skeletonized by bacteria and flies. And Negan is just so badly written it hurts. If his people were as murderous as they’re written to be Negan would have caught a bullet sometime in season 1.

That show lost me before the end of the first season. Every episode is exactly the same.
1) Wander through forest-Kill zombies
2) One if the good guys dies-kill zombies
3) wander through forest and stumble upon lost good guys-kill zombies
4) lost good guys become part of the pack-kill zombies
5) kill zombies

Repeat

The zombies are just a prop at this point. What frustrates me about the show is they have a crew of mostly good actors, a huge budget that allows great visuals, and a huge, avid fan base.... yet they can't write a compelling script.

So enough time in the show has passed for these Vulcan Kryptonian douche bags to have evolved????

Not NetFlix but if you have an Android tablet or an Android phone (many phones can also cast to a smart TV)...

Download Terrarium TV and vlc player. I have been watching Black Jesus on Terrarium TV. Funny show...Jesus living in modern day Compton.

I’ve tried watching The Punisher. I’m five episodes in and finding it pretty dull. The story isn’t believable and the one-dimensional CIA stock characters are dull. Is anybody watching this show and enjoying it?

I kept it up with The Punisher. It gets good six episodes in. Way better than the magical ninja stuff that bogged down Daredevil, Iron Fist, and The Defenders. No actors as cool as Sigourney Weaver, but none as bad as Finn Jones, either. Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s unkempt beard is disgustingly offensive, tho. It looks like he shaved off a year’s worth of Ron Jeremy’s pubes and glued them to his face.

I'm a few episodes into Godless. So far, it is building up to be awesome - I hope it can deliver. Jeff Daniels is fucking intense.

I just wrapped up Godless. It’s excellent TV in the mold of the great 1970s network miniseries. It’s a nice slow burn that builds up to a killer finale. Kudos to Netflix for having the courage to do a limited series like this.

While I'm certainly not disappointed in the finale, I thought it was a bit lacking in depth and not up the the high level of intensity of the rest of the show. I don't know what I'd have done differently, exactly, but the finale just seemed a bit of a letdown to me.

I'd still recommend it to everyone. While perhaps not at the level of House of Cards or Breaking Bad, Godless is still excellent example of what television can be.
