Recommend something on netflix...

I'm starting to watch Mindhunter which takes place in 1977 and is about the beginning of how the FBI started profiling killers. Also if anyone has Amazon Prime, check out Lore which is about how horror legends are rooted in truth.

Inspired dubiously by a non existent 30th season of Iron Fist and sung to the tune of Southern Nights:

Old man...
Old man Danny Rand must fight the hand
it's a Sisyphus trail
over many a mile
they keep popping up here and there
and only he cares...

Talladega Nights - The Ballad of Ricky Bobby is on now.

I'm not a big Will Ferrell fan, but it's a fun movie.

The wife and I are trying to watch Mindhunter. It just isn't working for use. Maybe it's the horrible opening scene, or maybe it's the wooden, unlikable characters, but we ain't digging it.

the radio promo sounded cool. I watched the first episode the other night and I'll probably give it one or 2 more, but if it doesn't pickup, I'm out.

A lot of that one is based upon truth and a real dude. I have not watched it but I have read some of the background on it and watched some video of the real guy talking about his life, his motivation and so on.

For those interested in health and diet (it seems like a more important topic as we age),

What The Health

is now available. It is full of eye openers.

The wife and I started watching this over the weekend. We both like it. We were interested right from the start. It’s not the best thing we have ever watched but it’s only 10 episodes.

I thought that Mindhunter was very good.

It has some weaknesses, but it’s a smart show. I really appreciate its pace, it’s relaxed without ever being boring or being too thin, it looks good, some top-notch writing, some great female characters, etc.

When the worst thing in a series is that one or the two of the actors aren’t quite right, then that’s a really good thing.

My wife and I just started watching Ripper Street. First episode was interesting enough that we will watch a few more episodes.

The first episode was very slow to the point, but we gave it a second and it got better. After the 3rd, we are really liking it.

not a new show but a new one for me....American Horror story...fuckin' A, that is that a good show!11! I've watched season 1 (Murder house) so far and I binged on the first 7 episodes of season 2 (Asylum) yesterday. Highly recomended.

The new Patton Oswalt special is good. If you like horror movies check out Cult of Chucky.

That show has been hit or miss with me. Some seasons I’ve gotten into, some I dropped out after a couple of episodes. I like that each season is independent of the others.

I get netflix thru discs in the mail. I might have to up my subscription to include Blu Rays, as I see that all the new Marvel TV shows are coming out on Blu Ray disc only, no DVD format :(

Suffering through The Walking Dead season 7. A stunning example of a juggernaut franchise tethered to shit writing. The Negan character is so over the top that he's almost unwatchable, and the plot holes have me yelling at my iPad.

I didn’t even finish the last season. Negan is way too over the top, but he isn’t the only reason, I just think I’m burned out on that show.
