30 days was for the plan to defeat ISIS. That said, we should have known by now that the plan has been presented. He won't tell anyone what's in the plan, only that it's a very good plan, and it's huuuuuuge, we're going with it because he thought up the whole thing over a nice quiche from the Trump Tower kitchen... You should try one. It's beautiful, and because he doesn't want to tell our enemies how we're going to defeat them other than to say it's a hostile takeover that involves a massive buyout of ISIS stocks that will make him CEO and he can then fire the leadership and farm out the insurgent jobs to Mexico at a better labor cost before gutting the infrastructure, liquidating the assets, and finally filing for bankruptcy. It's brilliant, he's done it a gazillion times.

CARLSON: This bill has as one of its centerpieces a tax-cut for investors that would primarily benefit people making over $250,000 a year. They’ve already done pretty well in the past ten years, as you know.

TRUMP: Yeah.

CARLSON: A Bloomberg analysis showed that counties that voted for you — middle-class and working-class counties — would do far less well under this bill —

TRUMP: Yeah. Oh, I know.

CARLSON: — than the counties that voted for Hillary, the more affluent counties.

TRUMP: I know. It’s very preliminary.

CARLSON: It seems like maybe this isn’t consistent with the last election.

TRUMP: No. A lot of things aren’t consistent. But this is going to be negotiated.

Carlson is an idiot. Poor and middle class Republicans have voted against their own interests for decades. There’s no reason to write policy that favors them.

5) So, whether some bernie supporters are annoying or not, it misses the point. And, continuing to throw that label around does not help the DNC move forward. How about some candor about the primary process, and thought about how to improve it and/or trust in that process? How about some thoughts about the platform and who has the character and personality to carry the message? How about a clear message? Let's get to those things.

6) reasonable minds can differ on most or all of this. But ad hominem name calling is not going to help us move forward. So stop it please.

More on point 5. What we seem to have now are some grass roots "resistance" efforts that are slowly getting tired and losing steam. Face it. Despite the good work of a lot of good people, the folks are getting tired. Being "anti" trump, GOP, or whatever is not enough. There needs to be a message, and a leader to deliver the message. It is more inspiring to work in support of a message than play defense the entire game. One can sustain better in pursuit of a goal or dream. (MLK reference.) (Also, football analogy, though defense wins championships (and yes, we need to keep resisting), but you still need an offense. Doesn't have to be fancy, but you still need one.) Come on DNC!! Get it together and form a message. Not that hard. Example: "We all do better (economically and otherwise) when the middle and working classes do better. And killing their health coverage and transferring wealth to the top is not the deal. Here is how we plan to take that on. Together. Then all boats will rise with the tide." Take part of Trump's message from him! Demonstrate by comparison how many Trump supporters were lied to, but have a credible plan to do better. Bernie even connected with some workers recently I saw in the news. Not saying he is the correct messenger, but he is much closer to the mark on message.

While I agree with that, this one may be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Trump is "their guy." The Bushes weren't, Reagan wasn't, they were establishment party men. Trump is the "outsider" who is going to clean up this Washington bullshit. Once they see their healthcare gone, and when he rips out NAFTA and taxes Mexican imports, Mexico retaliates buy stopping their import of corn and the farming industry dies, maybe the poor and middle class republicans will actually get it. Once Trump fails miserably, maybe they will finally see. I'm sure he will try to pin his failures on the democrats, but his party is in control of everything.

If people haven't learned that Reaganomics doesn't work by now then they never will.

maybe when the budget passes and goes into effect, the white middle class will finally realize that republicans are completely against them.

"During the presidential campaign last year, Trump vowed that the solution to poverty was giving poor people incentives to work. But most of the proposed cuts in his budget target programs designed to help the working poor, as well as those who are jobless, cope."

yea...."work incentives".....translates into JUST STOP BEING POOR.

as mentioned a few posts above, we (the non-racist, non-white supremesists, non-criminally rich, non-christofacists, non-greedy, etc.) need SOMEONE to get behind, and it ain't Bernie.

who's it gonna be? until we get that answered, we are LOOSING. and the farther down we loose, the more likely it is that we won't ever get back up.

well....once we humans and most surface life are gone, the earth will recover.
Yeah, well I do not intend to go gently into that night. I have family, kids, friends and people I care about, love of this earth . . . love alive. Despair = throwing everyone else on this earth under the bus. Not how I am wired. Not saying you are either. Just I cannot go there and cannot leave that statement unchallenged.

Ashlee and I had a discussion about this the other night, because our families both come from predominantly conservative areas and we have quite a few family members that vote Republican because they're vets that love guns, Jesus, and coal, plus they hate people that are any colour other than white or spray-tanned. But Ashlee nd I vote against our own interests too... with our combined incomes we'd be doing better under Trump's tax plans; her entire industry stands to do better under Trump, but only if you're willing to make unethical moves and put yourself before your clients. We vote against our own best interests out of inclusion, out of wanting everyone to be better off, and if we have to pay more for that, that's okay. The Republicans voting against their own interests do so because they're scared and selfish, seeing only their individual bubble and how things affect them directly. Unfortunately, that's a hard thing to overcome.
