what's with the charge "engaging in prostitution within 1000 feet of a church"? i thought we had separation of church and state. that shouldn't even be on the law books.

Good luck with that. Same reason you can't have a pot club within 1000 feet of a school. Nevermind the fact you have to be an adult with a prescription.

You forget that Kentuckians, half of whom have insurance through Kynect , voted in a governor who's #1 campaign promise was to eliminate Kynect.

They simply have no desire to connect the dots between the evil "government" and their favorite politicians. All they want to know is who supports God, guns, and ending abortion. They really aren't going to look past those three issues, no matter how big of a clue stick smacks them in the head.

I've said the Dems need to start promoting candidates that say they are pro life and pro guns. Those folks don't follow how the people vote while in congress, so as long as they think they are pro life and pro guns, that's all that matters.

I'll be interested to see how the folks in Kentucky feel if the guy does get rid of it. I remember the article where some Trump supporters in Kentucky didn't think Trump was serious about repealing Obamacare. Like this one.

The pro 2A won't be too big of an issue, as there are a lot more Dems that own firearms than many people think. Plenty of gun owners, R & D alike can agree on at least basic background checks, no sales to known mentally impaired, etc... The pro life thing will be a big issue because pro life = anti roe v wade. While plenty of people are against abortion in principle (I mean really, who wants to have an abortion?o_O), that's a long way from making it illegal again.

He did get rid of it. In fact, he even tried to use the federal grant money Kentucky got for having such a great exchange to pay for dismantling it.

People's reaction? Well, it was just the damn government screwing them over, as always. Like I said, they have zero interest in connecting the dots. All they want is God, guns, and no abortion.

This afternoon, Carol and I did a presentation of uplifting songs and poetry at a local senior center. Carol mentioned that the aim is to try to offset the negativity in the world. One of the seniors said something about "like we get from our president." Another senior turned to me and started talking about how I should love my country and he wasn't going to listen to this liberal bullshit. Boy, did that take me back to 50 years ago. :hippie: This time, I was innocent.

They tried that back in the oughties and it was a disaster. Bible belters weren’t giving money to those candidates, so the party had to bring in money from other parts of the country. To do that safe Democrats would go on campaign fund raising binges and move the money to the party, who moved the money to blue dog Democrats. An important strategist within the party wrote an op-ed explaining that gay and female democrats were being conned into paying for anti-gay and anti-abortion candidates. Donors quickly cut the party off. The Tea Party then cut the right-wing democrats down pretty quickly.

I also voted against my personal interest. When I cast my vote for Sanders in the VA primary, I did so knowing full well I was voting to substantially increase my tax burden. Look forward to doing it again for the right candidate.
Well, that's because with Bernie's plan the increase in taxes would come back to you in services.

I dunno, based off Facebook comment sections and the entire Breitbart staff and readers, I think we don't have nearly enough abortions.
