OMG Politics, I'm over it already.

For the record, I wasn't trying to be political. I have my own views of Trump that I've largely tried to keep quiet about on this forum. However, a 20 percent border tax would have a real impact on the prices paid for things like guitars.

can someone please explain to me why mexico should pay for this wall? I don't get why other than the fact that trump says so they should pay for a wall he wants to build?

The real answer is that it was a zero risk position & got everyone chanting 'build that wall' because it was sold as a win-win.
The justification for that position is that we've had to bear the cost of the those illegal brown people spilling over the border with all their rape, murder and drugs so they owe us

Mexico is not gonna pay for the wall...we are.

I think when you file your taxes, you should get to say where your money gets spent and if you don't fill it out, then congress gets to put it where they think it should go. $15 billion for a wall that isn't going to do anything but make Trump look like a bigger ass than he already does. Imagine how many kids could go to a good preschool with that money. Or how many people could get their health care paid for with that money.

Filthy hippie. None of your scenarios allow for Trumps mafia construction buddies to eat lobster on their yachts in St. Bart's. Try to be more pragmatic, Chad.

Trump says only the media wants him to release his taxes, well looks like he is wrong again.

The petition for him to release his tax records has had more signatures than any other petition in the systems 5 year history.

And in case you were wondering, it bumped registering the Westboro Baptist Church as a hate group into second place. Seems kind of fitting.

But then people wouldn't give their tax money to corporate handouts. And where would we be without those?

Seeing as, what is it, 50% of people don't vote, I would assume that same 50% wouldn't fill that out either, so they will still get their handouts from there. Don't worry, the "job creators" will still get theirs.

Deep in the bowels of the major news media, way down under and behind the tv anchors and their ratings driven agendas, out in the sticks, there has got to be some real journalists left . Real reporters needing a scoop and remembering their real journalism classes as opposed to their media communications classes . Some than might remember their muck raking heroes of the past. And I only hope that they are putting there heads down, quietly developing sources, future leads, drinking buddies, making the right friends, hoping to be the next Woodward or Bernstein. Because with this bunch, theres gonna be thousands of Deep Throats just busting to spill the beans on the corruption thats gonna fester like ebola in the body of this administration.
Heck this bunch of creeps make Nixon, Agnew, and Co. look like choirboys.
It shoukldnt take that long. I'm optimistic, its only a matter of time.
Having watched both Woodward and Bernstein live on TV over the last few months, these guys are still active and relevant. They continue to inspire younger journalists, as does Dan Rather.
Others, like Christiane Amanpour are pushing journalism to stay neutral, yet aggressive in the pursuit of truth and holding the seat of power accountable.

Don't give up!
