The Economist is hardly right-leaning. Aside from favoring free trade The Economist falls to the left on just about every issue in the American political spectrum. Occasionally they publish a wacky book review with a right-wing slant, but I doubt those are written by the regular staff.
We'll have to disagree on this.
The center is now right of true center (as it has been moving for a couple of decades) and that's just the way it is. The Economist was never a liberal leaning mag, so they may seem centrist now. I'm not, however, saying they ever were or are crazy biased and dealing in the half-truths/delusions of Fox or the outright lies of any media outlet to the right of Fox. Good to great journalism with a right of center lean...not a big deal as long as they aren't rallying around the asshole that lives in the White House.
