Great article, full of truth. I live out here amongst em in good ol Alabama. Reasoning with them is futile. Not only have they infiltrated and taken over politics but the majority of mainline protestant denominations as well. Not to mention the thousands upon thousands of non-denominational and pentecostal leaning congregations that have sprung up like weeds everywhere in fly over country over the last 30 years. Thank the Lord for a few Catholics,Lutherans, Episcopalians, and Methodists that have not been sucked in, but they cower and hide just to have a place to worship and not be ostracized. Im guilty of it myself. As a practicing Christian myself in a small southern town I have a hard time finding a place to worship that doesn't eventually reveal itself to be caught up in Christofascist Ideology.

I pay 158€ a month out of my pay to cover myself and my twin boys. Only have to pay a maximum of 7€ a trip for prescriptions.

I grew up believing when I was told the USA would be the ones to make anything work. Sure the USSR sent cosmonauts into space with pencils, that shit wouldn't fly with us, by god our boys need pens. So we developed a pen that will write in space. It wasn't enough to send a guy to the moon, we sent 3 guys with a living quarters and a freaking car.

Health care system that works at a fair price?

Oh hells nah.....we're broke!!!

Maddow on pipeline ruptures...why we shouldn't build the pipelines anywhere near any kind of life form. It also covers fracking issues.

I'm still amazed that the oil and coal companies put so much effort into undermining alternative fuel advancement, why not be the leaders in the field? They still control the power, but transition from dangerous and poisonous fuels to readily available energy sources. Provide training to miners and riggers to allow them to transition to these people into new long term jobs. Instead we have these people grasping at whatever they can to try to keep jobs in their dying industries. Yay for myopic attitudes toward competition.

but that would require an investment from the companies to develop and train. That would cut into their record setting profits.

To be fair, the moonshot was conceived of while the country was still running on optimistic, collectivist "we killed Hitler" fumes.

By the end of the 60s, racist bullshit made people question collectivism (terming it entitlements) and people like Governor Reagan and various minions of Evil Slimelord Dick Nixon set about testing the waters of "retail politics" where people want "stuff" in exchange for taxes...and specifically want to deny stuff to other people because BY GUM...I HAFTA PAY FOR THAT.

so if cheeto hitler meets his untimely demise we might make it to mars?

(NOTE TO NSA READERS OF THIS FORUM: I AM NOT A DOMESTIC TERRORIST)

Not us. Whatever nation takes him out.

Hey...you haven't finished your Chicago hazing....

Here's your final exam--go punch noted Hoosier Mike Pence in the dick.
