But what about the anus? Also unremarkable?

The anus is spectacular. You're gonna love the anus. The anus is so good that you're going to get tired of an- and I love anus, by the way. Nobody loves anus more than me. I've always loved the anus. The biggest issue today. And the nuclear. But the thing about- everybody agrees with me that the anus is- Smurfco, smart guy. One of the smartest people. Some people like boobs, but the anus... The press... It's disgusting. They never show the- not once did they show the anus. Terrible.

He’s trying to become the next Joe Arpaio. Probably sees the fame as a stepping stone to something bigger, and now he knows he’s got at least four years of not being prosecuted by the DOJ.

We already have the next Sheriff Joe. Ours is the Trump surrogate who video taped insulting voters as he burned letters from Ohioans urging him to change his vote. He also has modeled the Sheriff's department on Arpaio's model and has several on-going lawsuits for racial profiling and harassment... the county has already paid hundreds of thousands in legal fees and settlements. He was going to run for John Boehner's seat when John left, but outside of our county he's tremendously unpopular, so that was out.

Angry little man here.

Seriously? With all of the shit going on right now the first press conference is defending how many people attended the inauguration? Seriously?

I get them being upset about the MLK bust but is that really how you want your response to be? Just the overall tone of it.

This was an unscheduled, impromptu press briefing, and I'm sure it was carefully considered and planned to set the tone for this administration's relationship with the press...

From this point forward the White House is going to come out firing at every real or perceived slight by the press...it's going to be an all out war between them, the press raking every opportunity to accentuate the negative of the Trump administration, and the white house press office attacking back...its going to be a daily occurrence...the animosity between the two is going to affect everything we hear for the next four years...

Imo even this thread seems to reflect that people are more interested in the theater of Trump vs the media than issues or policy

If the press corp continues to get this kind of public dressing down and no real addressing of real issues they should just move out. No reason to ask questions in person in this kind of scenario, it only give the authoritarians another platform for propaganda. Let them do that on twitter or their pathetic little blogs and online outlets like Bretbart.
The real news is out here in the Country anyway.
What if the POTUS called a press conference and no one came except his own cheerleading team?
Wouldn't it be funny if the only way Trump could get on TV was CSPAN?
I know it won't happen but it should if serious new organizations had any balls.

I get the upset over the MLK bust removal. I agree it is pretty irresponsible, and of very questionable intent, for a news reporter to tweet something like that. It has civil rights and racial overtones all over it, and one can imagine the point of that tweet was to inflame the public. Fuck that reporter. We've had more than enough 'selective truth' in recent years.

As for the rest of the press conference on attendance...you have to be fucking kidding me. This is the national version of Trump and Marco Rubio comparing hand/dick sizes in the primaries. Foolish and childish behavior that makes the office of president look bad.

The media has been irresponsible throughout this election cycle. They have consistently and irresponsibly reported false information, erring on the side of "fuck it, it'll make us money".

I'm not only referring to their reporting of Trump.

They deserve a spanking.

that might be because there is NO policy. the theater IS the policy. this assclown keeps telling everyone, especially the press, that he knows, that he's got a plan, that he's special....and then nothing follows. "i will tell you on tuesday". then tuesday comes and he says nothing.

i hope the press crucifies this lying mutherfucker. i hope they go on the war path for real, wooward and berstein style, and get this piece of shit impeached.

There's plenty to discuss already out there & in the works but the irony is that most of us rely on that evil 'media' to tell us about it 'cause doing the work on our own to look around is work....and nobody's got time for that.

It would be nice to throw out the blanket media slur which imo should not be applied to news outlets that are still engaging in responsible journalism...but then again, that's kinda the whole point of this war against the media, isn't it? Remove all trust in any news source and you can govern an even more ignorant public.

Well, because I have children, a full-time job, and school so I can finish my bachelor degree in IT and get paid more.

The problem isn't that people rely on journalists, because that's their job. The problem is that there doesn't seem to be a standard for journalists and most of them are bad at their job.

That said, most journalists that don't work for Fox aren't complete buffoons that lie their asses off.

If Trump does something great, I will give him his due. Didn't think it would happen so soon.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for Sean Spencer. You could of picked anybody else / try to make yourself appear more sane. The next 4 years of your atrocities will go down a little easier, listening to this whiny little bitch.
