OMG Politics, I'm over it already.

That's a puzzle...He's cultivated a reputation for being an obstructionist; which the public constantly cites as a huge concern in Washington yet continues to get elected.
Nationally, I think he has the lowest approval rating in congress. In KY, his state-wide polling generally isn't all that stellar but he continues to dominate the Republican primary & win the general with a decisive margin.
Even a republican with a less partisan slant would be an improvement from my POV.

I have come up with a great plan. The Dems need to go into the deep red areas and put up candidates who say they are pro gun and anti abortion. Most of those areas don't keep up with politics at all so they won't follow up to make sure how they vote, hell most of the country doesn't do that. But if you take abortion and guns out of the discussion, why on earth would they vote for the republicans?

Most people are voting for the letter after the name, they don't give two shits about actual issues.

True, but I have heard many times, in this many elections, "I can't vote for them, they are Pro-Abortion." Or "I won't vote for them, they're going to take my guns."

It may take a few election cycles, but its a chance

Yup. Most people, and this definitely leans to the right, have one or two hot button issues that trump everything else regardless of logic.

Stalin is anti-abortion? You don't say? Well then, he's my guy!

His last dem challenger was fairly moderate & still got hammered by 16 points:
pro-gun
on the fence w/how to enact ACA
pro-coal & pro-business
pro-choice

Ironically, he branded himself the agent of change & linked her ideas w/ the 'failed' obama administration and their position on coal industry. As usual in elections that have a long running incumbent, the opposition doesn't have the dedication & financing to support candidates through the election cycle; if they don't maintain a positive margin through out the race, they pull money & support.

Yep. opposition candidates are left out to dry by the national party. I think Schumer's closest opponent lost by 50 points in this last election. Which is why I support term limits. At least there can be some kind of turnover.

If there was any question about Fox not goose stepping in line with team Trump, they just gave Megyn Kelly’s slot to Tucker Carlson.

When asked for comment, Tucker’s mom was too busy to talk because she had to get to the boy’s department and find Tucker some new outfits.

No, they have had their "better" plan all along. Even when the ACA was being hashed out, they had a better plan. They just never said what it was.
well.....sort of the same thing. just like dumpster saying he knows things that no one else knows, but won't tell what it is that he knows more than anybody else.

smoke and mirrors.

Speaking of which, wasn't he supposed to divulge the "inside information" he had about the email theft? I think he said Wed or Thur - its Thursday now...

That was based on him getting the Intel briefing earlier in the week, and filtering it through his brain and spitting out slightly distorted information. Since that didn't happen....
