I got a 6.9. It's very difficult to reduce waste with a toddler, and reduce heating in an apartment where you don't control the thermostat. Most of my decrease from "average" comes from walking to work, not owning a car, and taking public transit.

We all have different circumstances and can just do all we can. I live out in the middle of freaking nowhere with not much option for public transportation, and it is hard to always buy locally. But we can do what we can.

Also, I brought 3 mouths into this world to feed. So perhaps I am dinged for that. But on the other hand, they are all well educated, and care about the world, so hopefully that is a net gain.

About half my lights are led, and half are cfl being swapped out for led when they die.

Anyway I got an 11.1 on that carbon test. I think I'm very good about conservation in general, but I call BS on 10 being the avg American's rating. Looks like it's designed to make most people well over the average and be all emerghed take my money!

I got a 10.6...living in a rural area that is transitioning to suburb requires daily car travel, and my diet consists almost comletely of meats and dairy as a result of weight loss surgery...

I'm a 4.8 on the carbon tax thing. It could use a few options added. For example, I heat with wood, which is locally sourced. We buy locally raised beef which cuts down on the shipping. We keep chickens so our eggs require no processing or shipping. I also own several wooded acres and hunt, 0 carbon impact.
