OMG Politics, I'm over it already.

Wow, 72 hours and he's already waffling...
I had a feeling that a lot of his red button statements would either be walked back, obstructed or forgotten as soon as he got in. Maybe in a year the fringe conservatives that he lit up with the crazy talk will be complaining that he was actually in on it with Hillary and is the Mongolian Democratic Candidate.

Bullshit.

I detest racism, sexism, bullying, homophobia - live and let live, I don't care what you are, I care how you act. Those aren't just words that I speak, I back them up with action and don't go around blowing my own horn about it.

But if we want to go by your logic, you're with this group of anti-Trump "protesters", right? They're on your side, so you're all good with their actions, yes?

Again, no. Did Bernie or HRC make statements supporting or encouraging this type of behavior? No.

Trump specifically refused to condemn the support of David Duke and or the Klan.

http://time.com/4240268/donald-trump-kkk-david-duke/

And his son bragged about being pictured with the "deplorables" including pepe the racist mascot

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/295297-trump-son-white-nationalist-meme

While Trump implied the use of violence against his opponent

http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/09/politics/donald-trump-hillary-clinton-second-amendment/

Unlike Bernie, who clearly stated his opposition to violent protests

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/bernie-sanders-condemns-violent-protests-san-jose/story?id=39602627

And for what it is worth, my son lives in Portland. I told him he better not go anywhere near those protests or get involved in any way. Which he assured me he wouldn't think of doing despite being a vocal Bernie supporter long before I had ever heard that he was running.

I in no way support violent protests (or curling up in a ball crying and similar shit) but there is a difference between what people do and what politicians give implicit support to.

Mongolian? Did you mean Manchurian? Mongoloid? Both?

Yah.

Maybe he's a swell guy who just pretended to be a flaming racist to win votes. Still not exactly admirable - kind of like Wallace in the 60s.

I have a feeling if I posted I voted Trump not a single person on this forum would see anymore of my posts. Mass ignore and all. Sounds good. I did.

Haha, nope. Several of my closest friends have political ideals that are quite the opposite of mine. That's part of what makes America what it is.

Ignore is dumb. Though I'm interested in your thoughts on Lindsey Graham's vote for Evan McMullin.

Not so. I respect people voting for their beliefs even if I disagree with them. I won't be ignoring you or any others, but I might not invite you over for dinner at the house either :tongue:

If you want to be ignored, you'll have to put us all on ignore instead.

Most of you guys know way more details about specific issues that concern you, and I respect that. I have always voted based on a set of core beliefs for the representative that also holds those beliefs.
I don't get into what is said between the candidates while campaigning. It sickens me that they can't focus on what they'll do for us and what they hold high and instead they stoop to petty name calling, false allegations, and trying to belittle each other.
Tell me what you value and let me decide. I don't care what you think of the other candidates.

If you'd visited Clinton's website, you'd have had access to thorough legislative plans.

She emphasized this during the debates, because she understood that it was going to be a circus.

I don't know what medias you employ, but it's not entirely her fault that the public wasn't properly informed on them. She took the job seriously.

I'm not saying I didn't know. I'm well aware thanks to my own research. But, the key things I value usually don't change based on the candidate. I hold very Republican (read christian) beliefs and I just can't vote in a direction that goes against those. Specifically late term abortion being among the major ones.
I heard/read things that scared me on both sides. The Democrat side just scared me more.
