My layaway is a Ruger GP 100 Match Champion .357 . Getting it in 2 weeks.
It's nice to see I'm not the only guy here that likes a wheel gun.

Ruger Vaquero instead? I have my eye on one of those, and a Henry,Ruger Gunsight scout,Colt Python. CZ 75... :)

i know there are good alternatives, and some of the reproductions (uberti) are so close that many of the parts interchange with colts.
but it's just not the same as a REAL Colt.
i also have a serious jones for a Colt Python.....again....$$$$$

I don't have an SP101, and it's a great gun...but my S&W Model 28 Highway Patrolman takes care of my .357 needs just fine.

I need to downsize my guitar and amp collection, but if/when I do, it'll go to the Jeep fund.

I swear, no more guns for a long time.

I swear.

Honest.

Gun GAS is every bit as overwhelming as guitar GAS....

I'm definitely on an FBI watch list now.

Just bought each of us a S&W M&P 9mm Shield.

Thanks Aahzz. :embarrassed:

And now my Jeep fund is back down to buying a hoopty.

Looks like I'll have to stop buying guns and ammo and start saving for my Jeep again.

Oh - and if you're looking for a good, affordable, comfy holster - allow me to recommend Aliengear http://aliengearholsters.com

How'd you like the Shields?

Love them. We're both shooting low left with them, but the manual says the front sight is adjustable, so I may attempt that soon.

We've each shot about 350 rounds through them, and we are consistently low left.

I do find that I'm a much better shot with the Glock. 45 after firing a few hundred rounds through the Shield.

I'm actuality a much better shot with the Glock. :embarrassed:

Also, I cleaned the Mossberg 500C 20 gauge shotgun that we got for a wedding present, but never shot, and bought 100 shells for it today.

We currently have about 800 rounds of 9mm ammo, 300 rounds of .45 ammo, 160 rounds of .243, 160 rounds of .270, and 100 20 gauge shells.

I may have a problem.

when you go out and get several ar-15's and stock up on 10,000 rounds and 30 magazines.....THEN you have a problem

At this point, I have no interest in fully automatic or tactical weapons.

I do love our rifles for the accuracy, and the hand guns for the challenge, though.

Trigger control...the shields have a slightly longer pull...try focusing on the front sight and concentrating on curling your finger without involving the wrist...takes time, mainly because you're not even aware that you're using the muscles in your wrist and forearm to pull the trigger...
