Since the cool kids liked my flower picture so much, here's a barred owl watching me kayak.

One of the sunflower seeds from the bird feeder germinated in the garden. It stands about 5' tall.

That looks great! You said you had your f/4 lens wide open? That's pretty sharp.

Wow, HNCD to me.
I was just instructed to purchase a DSLR for my use in the lab. So it technically isn't "mine", and was specifically told get this

I am not only familiar with the Nikon D610, that is my main camera (I also use a D7000, a DX camera).

These are some photos I took with the D610 within the last year or so. What would you like to know about it?

So this will be a fun learning curve for me, despite taking mostly boring pictures of hardware in the lab. I used to do a lot of photography with my old Canon AE-1. It's been sitting in it's bag for years, and I kind of lost interest with life getting in the way. I have a couple cheapo point and shoot digitals, but now I am deeply immersed in imaging due to my new job. I actually now characterize and test space flight rated digital cameras.

The D610 is a very good camera. It's basically Nikon's current entry level full frame sensor camera. But it's a full frame. And a good, solid one.
