My brother-in-law is a mason and all his friends are in construction. He's usually out the door at 6:30am.I want to get a job in construction. Apparently starting work at 10:36am is the way to go.
That's how I would expect it to work. Only so many hours in the day and losing a couple of those hours a day adds days onto the job.My brother-in-law is a mason and all his friends are in construction. He's usually out the door at 6:30am.
We're not officially behind schedule but I have a "hard stop" date where I can't be around to supervise the dogs and whatnot and knowing that this will only get worse next week when they start on the kitchen and laundry rooms is starting to irritate the shit out of me. Plus I have gigs all weekend and my wife has to help her parents move to their new house on Saturday. I'm about to lose my shit and they haven't even fucked up yet.Late to the thread but congrats on the remodel. It can be extremely frustrating but just as rewarding. Our kitchen was being done and the day before Thanksgiving it was still wrapped in plastic. We had everyone over with no doors on the cabinets but it was worth the wait. My wife almost killed the contractor but that's his problem.

so....yer gonna have a hidden drill gun in the wall?
Actually it's dissipated already. Thank god.Projected amount of time in weeks = actual time in months.
Also, the hot mop smell stays around for a good bit longer that you think it will.
You handled it much better than I would have. I would have said "BITCH, where are my F'in pickups!'"I also got him to come out on the weekend to demo the kitchen and bring in another guy to finish the bathroom.
It's not going as bad as it could, but three weeks of this with the kids and the dogs trapped in the house has been a bit much. Plus I've been trying to finish an online class that is 15 weeks worth of curriculum crammed into 5 weeks and I've had gigs and other stuff so I'm fairly burnt.More remodelling Mojo!
well.....at least the bugs won't bother you.
