And now we start three weeks worth of my house being torn apart.

Late to the thread but congrats on the remodel. It can be extremely frustrating but just as rewarding. Our kitchen was being done and the day before Thanksgiving it was still wrapped in plastic. We had everyone over with no doors on the cabinets but it was worth the wait. My wife almost killed the contractor but that's his problem.

We're not officially behind schedule but I have a "hard stop" date where I can't be around to supervise the dogs and whatnot and knowing that this will only get worse next week when they start on the kitchen and laundry rooms is starting to irritate the shit out of me. Plus I have gigs all weekend and my wife has to help her parents move to their new house on Saturday. I'm about to lose my shit and they haven't even fucked up yet.

Yep. sounds like a remodel. It's really tough to have your life interrupted like that. Hang in there and don't kill anyone. It will only make them take longer.

At least something is starting to look like something today:

Projected amount of time in weeks = actual time in months.
Also, the hot mop smell stays around for a good bit longer that you think it will.

I also got him to come out on the weekend to demo the kitchen and bring in another guy to finish the bathroom.

Day 3 of kitchen and laundry room being torn up. Now that we have one working sink in the whole house shit is starting to get real. Yesterday I took the kids and the dogs to lunch with Mrs Wein in a park by her work. Today I had to stock up on ice and get hot breakfast for everyone from Carls Jr. Hopefully by tonight we can get to the fridge. Once the floor is done they can finish the bathroom, get the countertops ad backsplash done and install a sink in the kitchen. If all this can be done by this Friday I would be eternally grateful. Then its a few days on the kids bathroom and some painting.

More remodelling Mojo!
It's not going as bad as it could, but three weeks of this with the kids and the dogs trapped in the house has been a bit much. Plus I've been trying to finish an online class that is 15 weeks worth of curriculum crammed into 5 weeks and I've had gigs and other stuff so I'm fairly burnt.
