Day 7. Updated invoice shows labor costs almost doubled from original estimate due to water damage and us adding a few items. Bought sinks, toilets, fixtures etc over the weekend. Mrs Wein is out picking her butcher block countertops as I type this. As much as I want to bitch I think the contractor is giving us a square deal compared to the other estimates that I had gotten and he is doing really good work. Just the nature of the beast. Very glad that the buyer of my truck paid asking price at this point. We'll still be out of pocket a little bit but I couldn't have done this otherwise now that I'm seeing the full scope of the project.
