While this is happening I can turn of the satellite and watch this thread instead of DIY TV.
And the fun never ends....Bonus. Apparently something is leaking in the kitchen and seeping under the wall:

This might have been a misreading of the damage by the contractors guys. In any event I have an insurance adjuster coming out tomorrow. And the fun never ends....
A little white lie never hurt the insurance companies..We might be out of luck with the insurance company. Apparently our leak won't be "fast" enough to be covered.

Well, I actually expected worse when they opened the floor in the bathroom. Our house is 61 years old but it was built pretty well. We are suffering from some short sighted and cheap repairs done by prior owners. We're not made of money but if we own it and have to live here the work is going to be done correctly.Man, you are scaring the crap out of me! We want to replace the floors and shower in our bathroom and the floor, toilet and vanity in the other bathroom, and God knows what we will find (the prior owner of our unit fancied himself a handyman, and seemed to specialize in CHEEP!)
Oh yeah....damn interwebUntil they read my public forum posts
Actually they are coming to inspect on Thursday.
Apparently that pipe was leaking longer than we knew.

Thankfully that wall is being completely torn out anyway and replaced with a half wall and glass.
Correct. Very few houses here in CA have basements due to earthquake concerns. We have a raised wood foundation so this was less noticeable than if we had have had a concrete slab.HOLY SHIT!
I take it you don't have a basement, because you'd have noticed that!
