The Official MWGL Forum 2015-2016 NHL Thread!!!

Not optimistic there will be a big comeback, it's only happened once and frankly Pittsburgh has been the better team. Still hoping for a few more games though. The Cup final so far has been a pretty entertaining affair with games in doubt until late or OT....unlike the NBA which apparently means the National Blowout Association..rofl

I get what you guys are saying..I can't stand Bettman either..I cringe when I look at him..

I've been a Pens fan though for years because of my like of Mario..Crosby coming along at an impt time in the teams history was icing(pun intended),on the cake..

This town is going nuts. The bars are filled. The sportsplex where Sid played as a boy is jammed with everyone from little kids to local politicians..

I was visiting my Dad in the hospital a couple days ago,(stroke),and half of our conversation was about the playoffs and a big chunk was about Sid..

My Dad is a Sid fan too.. He calls him,'My Boy'..

May the best team win.....Bring it on.............

Edit...When I was a child we had hockey on tv on Wed and Sat...That was it...

Quite often Dad and I would lay on his bed and Listen to hockey on the radio on this big fancy radio that he had for just that purpose...Yup,we'd listen...

Both teams had too many men on the ice but the refs decided to call only one penalty, against one team......

I'd wager that there are a couple of dudes here waiting to pounce..

A larger concern should be the slowness of this forum..

So not taking tomorrow off then TP? Or did you have to ask in advance and it's too late now :zoinks:

4 goals in 5:embarrassed:6, fastest 4 goals in SC history I just read. Again a great game to watch, if you are a hockey fan. Pens fans are probably less likely to agree. Bottom line, Martin Jones stole that game for the Sharks. Pens were by far the better and most dangerous team but Jones was incredible in the 2nd and 3rd to send it back to the Bay. And a little post luck but there has been some of that for both teams honestly. Though we had another Seabrook two poster. Fun fact, the "blowout game" 3-1 is the only time Sharks outshot the Pens, all the other games have been dominated by the Pens on the shot chart.

And something to worry about TP, the Sharks have won both games 3 and 5 which are both after 2 days rest, the rest of the series will be 2 days rest 1 game 2 days rest 1 game. Just in case you get a little anxious

Prays to the Hockey gods for 2 more games

Oh yes..I'm off work today...I'll let the kids handle things..

In my world there's no such thing as asking...or in advance...or too late now..
I said I wouldn't be there but if I woke up today and chose to be there,I'd be there...

Cats have me up early for their raw feeding.

Looks like I'll be taking Thursday,June 16th off...

A lot of let down people..

Did you see the people outside the Pens' arena on the streets?

Edit-Even my cats are sad..LOL...

At least the Sharks are making a series of it.....it was looking like it was going to be a blow-out there for a while.

Miller replied, “Gordie got me ... but he said he was sorry.”

Somebody pointed to some missing teeth ... Gordie.

Another player displayed a scar ... Gordie.

A bent nose ... Gordie.

Said McCrimmon, "Gordie would say ‘Sorry, kid.’ Gordie was sorry a lot.”

There will never be another like him.
