I have a busy Saturday planned - including a BBQ at my wife's supervisor's house that I do NOT want to attend. I am trying to figure out how to be there as short a time as possible.

Karaoke-d in one of my favourite Indian restaurants last night.
The staff are great fun and it's always been a fantastic night. It's really more like a party than a shift when i work there.
The whole place was booked by a Kontiki tour so it was full of Aussies, Kiwis and Canadians. Tonnes of hot women. Good times. i did so much flirting through the night that I've los my voice
DJing tonight way out of the city but the new motorwar extension should mean I can get there in half the time. Still would rather not do it.
Football tomorrow then catching a band down my local pub.

Went to my old boss's house for dinner.
When I worked for him, there was a core of three engineers that he relied on for bigger accounts besides the banks.
He invited the three of us and our wives for a backyard BBQ.... and told us he was leaving the company.
It's good for him. Things didn't settle well for him after our business unit was acquired. He went from being a team manager to being my equal in a different part of the company. He enjoyed getting his hands dirty again, but there is too much uncertainty in his role, and he got the chance to move on and took it.
So, we ate his steaks, drank his wine, and relaxed in the shade of his cabana.
Interesting side note: one of the other engineers there had already moved on to another company about 6 months ago. When I emailed everyone last night to say thanks, his email server kicked my message back with an unknown user error message. Hmmmmmm.... I hope he's okay job wise. His company has been chopping headcount lately.

Came off my bike on a cycle path today. Hit a bit of mud on a tight corner and the back fell away from me.
Ended up with a bunch of cuts and bruises.
I got up, had to do a bit of quick fixing (thank god for multi tools) then we hadn't made it more than 500 more yards when my mate got a flat, he then managed to break the top of his tube valve reinflatingit and we'd to walk the 7 miles back home with bikes in tow.
We were joking that if we'd just been lazy asses and gone to the pub instead of exercising we'd have been much better off

Familia coming into town from Idaho today. Made it to Winnemucca and stayed there last night. I think Dad, sis, and BIL are on motorcycles, and mom is driving the car with the nephew. Should be an interesting weekend, since it's gonna be so busy at the ranch, but whatever. It'll all work out

Long weekend with very little planned. Some friends are having a major blowout BBQ at their place on Saturday evening. Pig roast, fireworks, a live band (not one of mine, but I'm friends with the drummer), free beer. Should be a blast.
No idea on what is up for the rest of the weekend. I probably should stain my repaired back deck this weekend - stain is on sale at Home Depot and It won't take very long.

Currently fighting with the gf so yeah, this is fun.
Tonight I'll watch the Phils game, eat dinner in silence and drink some Chimay.
Tomorrow I plan on picking up some brewing supplies then watch the PSU game. That night I have no plans, maybe hang out with some friends.
Sunday I'll probably do some chores around the house and chill, then my fantasy football draft is that night so I'll probably get shitfaced and make bad decisions.
Monday will be hangover most likely, no work so I'll hang out around the house. Another fantasy draft that night, this one online. That's about it.

I'm glad she's on co-op until Oct because the support workers are on strike and picketing the school.
That place is next to impossible to get into on the best of days, never mind through a picket line.
Going to start ripping down the ceiling in the bathroom this afternoon. The crew is coming on Tuesday to do the full renovation.
Not sure about the rest of the weekend..
