Yay! My POD HD 500 is supposed to arrive today! Yay!
Man, i have the Sweetwater page up with the POD Studio UX1 up on my computer right now. Debating pullling the trigger.
I already have a USB interface that works, but the line 6 one comes with POD Farm, which integrates right into my software.

I say do it. I've been happy with the UX-2... What's nice is that you monitor from the device, so you can hear all the effects on the guitar or vocal with no latency, but still opt to record "dry", and add effects later via VST...

My weekend plans....
Friday - work on some tunes I'm a bit rusty on.
Saturday - We have a gig in the middle of the boonies about 90 minutes north of here. A barn dance. We play from 7
0 - 100 but the sound and light system take so long to set up that we need to be up there by 40 at the latest so we leave at about 2:30. Decent pay for one night though - and hopefully some tips.
Sunday - Gig from 120 - 30PM. It is at a club about 10 minutes from my house and about 2 minutes drive from all the equipment. They are having a car show/chile cook off. No pay for this one at all so I hope they feed us good and maybe throw in a free drink or two. It is to get booked for future gigs at this location - but of course it is with the band I am quitting. Oh well....at least it's really close to home.

Today - Exercise when I get home. Try to finish my 1/87 challenge build. Just have the cab and sleeper to clean up and paint.
Saturday - Exercise. Carryover on 1/87 Challenge, drop my son off at Mark's clinic and then go the OC Blues jam in Lake Forest. Come back and pickup the kid. Practice for Thursday's gig.
Sunday - Exercise. Yard work, practice for Thursday's gig.

Tonight I might go out to the local brewpub and check out a band with a few friends, or I may just stay home and watch the Phillies (hopefully) clinch the NL East.
Tomorrow I'll probably run to the homebrew store and pick up some more supplies, maybe some ingredients to make my first homebrew. Then that night my buddy is having a party for his 40th b-day, should be lots of beer drinking and possibly fireworks.
Sunday is recovery with NFL football all day and much laziness, probably have to do some laundry but other than that... nothin'.
