The Baseball Thread.....

At least the Padres didn't leave me in suspense all year waiting for them to turn shitty again. This is much easier. I can move on with my life now

With their pitching they just need a couple of batters to get hot and they will be ok.

Sorry about that sweep, Phil. :embarrassed:

Also,

I was actually proud of him for that...he's becoming a real leader on that team and for him to say that probably lit a bit of a fire under some of their asses...this is a team that's gonna have to scratch and claw for every run and put-out...

Great quote!

In other news the Rockies are still in first place and tied for the best record in baseball despite all their hitting going south at the same time. A couple strange games from them in the last week. They pitch a three hitter in Florida and lose 6-3. Then last night they only got four hits yet beat the Cubbies 5-3. Then again it is the Cubbies....

Well - the Rockies are continuing to make average pitchers look like Cy Young candidates. Unusual for an entire team to slump at the same time, but they are doing it. And wasting some very good starting pitching from their staff. With the Mets in town it's time to start to get healthy with the bats again....
