The Baseball Thread.....

The White Sox are dealing out an epic first game fail on the butts of the Indians. Meaning I don't think anyone is pitching on for Cleveland. Lobbing softballs is more like it....
 
Just switched over from the Cubs game, to the Red Sox game and Adrian Gonzales is at the plate in a gawd damned Red Sox uniform. This pisses me off to no end :mad:
 
Well - the Rockies are winning so far, but looking at the pitch speeds, Jimenez does not have his best stuff today. Four innings and no strikeouts. No walks yet either.

his command/location is there. that's all that matters. it's opening day. if you get 5 out of him and he doesn't give up the farm, it's a good outing.
 
And the Indians have scored 7 runs of their own. It's now 14 - 7 White Sox. Another good touchdown pass and it's a tie football game....

there was some awful game that the mets were losing by a significant margin in last year. Gary Cohen, the main play-by-play announcer says mid 4th inning (something to the effect of) "and at the half it's the Broncos 27 and the Jets 3". i spit beer everywhere.

...the phils were shit for 8 innings, and then came from behind, and won, with a walk off hit by John Mayberry Jr...rookie...utility outfielder...basically, the phillies showed up, and played one inning of ball :embarrassed:...Halladay had 101 pitches in 6 innings...terrible defense behind him...still managed the win though...
