Played my first round of golf today

Played a round at Riverwalk again yesterday, but it was a complete disaster, and I had to quit at hole 15 because I ran out of balls. That's one thing I hate about that course is that I lose so many balls there. Even ones that should be playable, they just disappear. I have found now that if I try to play a round after work, it never goes well. From now on I will just play on the weekend, or take a day off to play during the week.

besides doing everything i can to hit the ball in the fairway, i've found that using a ball that is glowing neon orange helps find them in the rough.
i like the Volviks and i like the Power Soft model. they hit decently (70 compression) and they fly pretty straight and i like them.

I like the high-visibility green/yellow balls. But so do a lot of other folks apparently; they have been hard to get lately.

First time I've been down to the course since my pal passed away.

Was planning on doing a bit of putting practice but the green is closed due to waterlogging.

Grabbed a quick beer and having a wee think about a relatively short but fun period playing with him.

Turned into a beautiful winter day. I bought some paints on Saturday, I'm good to try and paint this scene from the 19th.

I played Torrey Pines North on Thanksgiving day, and it was the first time I walked the course since I just got me a nice little push cart for my golf bag on Facebook market for a really good price. The course is being prepped for the PGA event coming up in February, so the fairways are quite narrow, but they are in great shape. I figured out something in my golf swing hitting driver. I focused a bit more on shallowing the club on my downswing, and low and behold my slice disappeared! The ball went exactly where I was aiming!

My iron play was spotty, but I had a great shot on 18 landing the ball about 10 feet away from the hole. Unfortunately the putt didn't go in.

umm.....more info please ??

I'm DJing for the R&A's Christmas party on Friday night at the Old Course

My old pal had talked about playing a round up there once I got an official handicap and could play decent.

Sadly that's not going to be possible now.

I might just stash my driver in a long lighting bag and crack one off the first tee in his memory once I've set my rig up..

I can't see them allowing me to do it if I ask before hand and pleading ignorance is always better than begging forgiveness. :bigg:

Not that I'm superstitious but my buddy and I spent a few days on the coast golfing around Easter.

I'm scrolling through random music and gaming videos on FB and a live feed from the bar across from our accomodation has just come on.

You can actually see the little spot we'd have a few beers in after a round. Weird.

Just hit 100 at the range.

Came across a little drill where you visualise a narrow fairway then he ace to land 2 in a row on it moving up the clubs:

PW, 5I, 8I (will probably switch to 7), hybrid and driver.

Once you get up to the driver you pitch / chip until you get 5 in a decent cluster at short, middle and long distances.

Then work back down the clubs.

Really nice to focus on what you're doing with each club.
