OMG Politics, I'm over it already.

Those two have fooled more people than any magician on the planet. They're back door law writers.

But not you! Cause your dank meme game is too strong.

Also, you forgot to accuse them of murder. When discussing politics, always accuse the candidate you oppose of murder. That shows other people in the discussion that you're a reasonable person and very patriotic.

Best analysis I have read so far is "Kaine helped Clinton, and Pence helped Pence."

Pence wouldn't or couldn't defend Trump. Kaine hit more points than Pence, but looked like an idiot, while Pence looked calm, cool and collected as he lied.

Is there any point to the position of VP, aside from the occasional tie breaker vote in congress and the presidential backup if shit goes south?

Ask this guy-

So basically, modern-era VP is the highest slack off position that a slacker can aspire to?

Now that the bass slot in Van Halen has been filled, maybe so.

So, I knew watching the debate would be pointless and the highlights covered in the "news" confirm that assumption. I almost feel bad for Pence, but not really.

Yeah, the email thing is the worst talking point and belabored bullshit the Republicans have come up with in years. Hillary is a criminal, but never mind Powell or Dubya. The only transparent about the GOP is their unending willingness to point the finger at Democrats and liberals. The GOP is never responsible for a failure and the Dems are never responsible for success. We all know that both sides have accomplished beneficial things and failed at others of their own accord as well when they've worked together. That said, they accomplish the most when they work together. The tea party mentality is to obtuse to either recognize or appreciate this. So we have the most divisive Congress of my life right now, with one side not willing to make a single compromise. Like it or not it's clear that the GOP is that side.

I was pretty surprised by Kaine's aggressiveness. Going into the debate, I was sure that Kaine was going to win, because all he had to do was stay calm and stick to pointing out Trump's many ridiculous statements. The debate was his to lose. Unfortunately, he did exactly that. I'm betting he got a new asshole ripped after the debate.

While he may have very well still won on a facts, most voters don't care about facts. They just saw an agitated, slightly creepy looking politician continually badgering a collected and slightly less creepy looking politician. No one will care about Pence's repeated claims that Trump didn't say the stupid things that he did indeed say.

And I can't believe Kaine didn't bring up Pence's "religious freedom" law.
I thought Pence looked creepy. Kaine came off as a bit shrill, whiny and annoying. Like that really smart kid in class that is always right, but just annoying about it. He could have played it better.

This is the most accurate interpretation of the debate:

That reminds me, did anyone else notice that the Dem was wearing a red tie, while the Rep was wearing blue? My daughter picked up on that within minutes of the start. Hillary and Trump did the same thing...she wore a red outfit and he had on a blue tie. What kind of mind game are they playing on us?

traditionally (before around 2000) republicans all wore blue and democrats wore red. same goes for state colors. but it was a standardized thing.

and then the media decided to 'standardize' it and reversed everything. typical.
