Northeasterners: What say you of this Mother of all Storms approaching?

The eye of the storm went right over me. A few leaves blown about and a branch or two...thats it. Not even a flicker from the lights. 20 miles away, though, along the bay...theres nothing left...

was wondering about you. glad you're safe.

I hope everyone made it through the storm ok. Ironically, they are telling us the storm of the century has contributed to our nice weather here in CO. It's been sunny and warm.

I too was wondering how you faired. Glad you did so well.
My in-laws near Pennsville made out OK, too. Just minor wind damage.

A few days in a power outage can be interesting and educational. You learn what is important. You also see what people are made of. Some become predators as if anarchy is the norm, but most people turn out to be helpful toward each other. Neighbors actually talk to each other. Oh, I'm not so sure about NYC! :embarrassed:

Luckily, this was just a cat. 1 with a dose of nor'easter thrown in, and the temperatures are cool. Most hurricanes leave you with nasty heat and soggy humidity for days. A cat 3 would have wiped everything out up there.

I put in a call to 12-pack but haven't got a reply yet. Of course, cell service is affected and there may not be power to recharge a phone.
