Kemper Gang?

40% off M Britt profiles. Ends tomorrow. I’ll definitely grab something.

Ditto. I just bought it too. :)

The kicker for me was that he has them arranged in performances with morphs.... exactly how I use my Kemper. I will probably re-arrange my performances to be my 5, then his entire pack... and end up making some new combinations from there.

Indeed, that was a draw for me as well. Plus, the demo vid on his page is pretty amazing.

I got that pack as well. I’m finally up to date with kemper and rig manager updates. Is there a way to store effects presets in rig manager? Or do you have to store them as a whole rig?

I think I saw a Tone Junkie tip about turning off the amps and cab and saving the entire rig, but it ends up being an effect only because nothing else is defined. I'd have to look for it and i haven't tested with the new version.

Welp, the 2020 pack is definitely worth the money. I spent most of the morning testing out the collection and there are some really great sounds in there to my ears. I think this might be my favorite pack of his to date.

I bought the 2020 pack before the deal expired.... but because of traveling for work I didn't get to load them up until this weekend.

Man..... Michael Britt is on a WHOLE DIFFERENT level with profiles. :eek2:

Part of it is like I just got a bunch of brand new amplifiers that have unique clean and distortion sounds from the amps i already have... but because he includes performances and rigs, it's like getting a bunch of different pedals too, because they're dialed in completely different than other effects I've used.

Several of the banks are filled with amazing amps, but boy did I go down a rabbit hole with the Classic Rock bank. With only a couple tweaks to the wah settings and the octaver effect... I was playing for a couple hours and my wife had to wave her hands in front of my face to hear with the headphones I had on by the computer.

It also helps that I just got done replacing the pickups in my Pink Charvel ProMod (took out the open coil Full Shred and put a covered Pearly Gates, and pulled out the singles and put a duncan custom shop and one from my Thorn SoCal bridge.) Only mistake was trying out the set of Pro Steels that I got for Christmas instead of my usual D'Addario XLs... had to diink with the spring tension to keep the bridge at the right angle and those strings are BRIGHT!!! Had to dial the tone back to 7 on a few patches.

Got several more guitar builds in progress... can't wait to try them through a variety of MBritt amp profiles.

Okay Kemper-Heads..... I just found out that this version of the Quilter Labs Tone Block has a FRFR setting......

With that feature, then an effects loop, and an additional XLR out... I can output my Kemper to the Quilter, put the Boomerang Looper in the Quilter Loop... then the XLR from the Kemper will be unlooped... and the XLR from the Quilter include the looper. That could make some interesting options available for the front of house as well as monitor mixes that could include the looper or not... particularly if I bump up the looper replay mix in the Quilter's FX loop!

I tried a quilter microblock thing and it sounded like shit. Hope that one does a better job.

I’m really happy with my orange power amp but it doesn’t have nearly as many features.

Also, I put my Secret Preamp pedal (EP3 preamp clone) into the kemper’s fx loop. Makes a great sounding profile just come alive and with a ton more nuance and playing dynamic. Blown away.

Even with Kempers it can be useful to understand how basic signal flow works.

This dude in the FB Kemper users group got himself a power amp and there's no sound. Wonder why...

Jezus H Baby Sleestak..... you know they have powercon and speakon to prevent people from mixing up 1/4" audio from 1/4" speaker outs..... and people still manage to fuck it up.

One thing I notices when switching through my new 2020 Michael Britt packs with my existing profiles..... his are WAY louder than mine!. Makes me think I was being too conservative with my volumes not to have them clip... but I'm going to bring them up and toggle between volumes.

I have learned some new ways of using the morph switches though... I was only using them to toggle up the volume/gain/delay mix.... but now on my clean and rhythm channels I'll have a chorus, tremolo, or some other vibe modulation and have the "normal" be zero or super light mix and then morph to a more saturated or aggressive mix. Because of the way it steps up over a couple seconds the mix back and forth sounds WAY cooler than a quick on/off toggle. Another funny thing is the Octave effect... I can toggle it on and off like a normal effect, but when using the morph, it does a Tom Morello style octave dive or octave slide up.
