Give me something to watch on Netflix

...and THAT is the screen shot you decide to share with us???

Oops. My bad. This was from Single White Female 2. We had a double Hedy.
I can't recommend this film.

I started the series Six Feet Under on Netflix because I remember it winning awards back in the day. It starts of promising - the first several episodes feature some dark irreverent humor. I gave up after season two. The humor gives way to WAY too much contrived drama. If you feel completed, watch the first couple of episodes, then move on to something else.

Just saw a teaser for a new Netflix animated series with The Oatmeal, based on the Exploding Kittens game. It looks like possibly the best show since Firefly.

:jam:

My opinion appears to go against the grain, but Leave the World Behind was pretty bad.

How did the lights and water stay on for so long?

Why did all of the street signs disappear?

How would any of the characters know what sort of medicine the son needed? It wasn't like the symptoms were common.

How did Flamingos get to to New York in a couple of days?

Why did the jets crash? Aircraft control systems aren't networked, and even if they were, they can be disabled by pulling a circuit breaker.

Next, you are going to tell me that movies contain plot holes?

We watched Escaping Twin Flames. 3 part doc about a self help dating thing that's actually a MLM / cult. It was a decent enough watch and didn't require too many brain cells to be engaged.

I keep falling asleep after a few Christmas beers or wines but WW2 from the frontlines is really cool. They've colourised / remastered tonnes of original footage.

That was some fucked-up shit. It never ceases to amaze me how gullible people are.

I'd say vulnerable as opposed to gullible for many of them - a lot of the people in the doc and on the site ( I had a nosey ) are clearly Autistic, suffering from mental health issues or dealing with trauma and would be susceptible to that shit.

Saltburn on Prime is good. Dark comedy drama about an aristocratic family and their out of place house guest.

Great cinematography. The acting is excellent especially from Rosamund Pike and Barry Keoghan. This guy is the Irish De Niro. I can see him hoovering up Oscar's for years to come.

Saltburn on Prime is good. Dark comedy drama about a clever weirdo ingratiating himself with an aristocratic family. Very reminiscent of the Ripley stories.

My daughter and her friends just watched that and said it was pretty weird. I love some Rosamund Pike so I may give it a go.

My wife heard about a show... We had to go look for the app to load on our Roku... Freevie I believe it was called...

The show is called "Jury Duty" and it's a cross between The Office, a hidden camera Prank show, Reality TV, and a Mock-umentary... because it stars James Mardsen playing a typical asshole celebrity version of himself, and a bunch of random people all showing up for Jury Duty. There are cameras there supposedly filming a documentary about the Jury Duty process...

.. the only thing is EVERYONE... all the Jurors, Lawyers, Judge, Bailiff... are ALL ACTORS... except for ONE GUY. He's our "everyman" and they watch him react to all the CRAZY bullshit that happens. If he reacts a certain way, then all the actors have to pivot and improvise how they would in real life. It's really really funny everyone being in on the joke EXCEPT for him.

Actually... It's just like the TRUMAN SHOW (Jim Carey) ... where all of us watching know that everyone is an actor, EXCEPT our main character. :baimun:

Finally got round to watching this. I thought it was terrific. Really funny and at the same time incredible how they pulled it off. It seems unbelievable but everyone involved swears blind it was genuine. Amazing TV.

This one got 3 “what the hell dude”s from the wife.

Killer Joe

Never heard of it until tonight has one big star and several tv stars. It’s bizarre should have expected it when in the first few moments a hot woman answered the door with her bush.
