Give me something to watch on Netflix

Mr Bates vs the Post Office. It won't premiere in the US until April, but when it does I urge you to watch it. Everybody I know who've watched it have been utterly gripped.

We just binged GLOW over the last couple weeks. I got totally invested in the characters, and then BAM--done, no ending, no closure.
I'm devastated.

Is this about Anthony Perkins not getting his mail delivered to the Bates Motel?

Yeah that was annoying. In this case we can't blame Netflix as COVID got in the way of filming the final season and peoples contracts expired. Really wish they'd do a movie to rap it up though.

Boy season 5 of Fargo is great. It took a bit to get into, but it grew exponentially when I realized how fantastic Jennifer Jason Lee's character is.

If anyone is considering watching Adam Sandler's "Spaceman", it isn't science fiction. It's more of a psychological discovery movie. It's OK I didn't hate it.

But those of you with severe arachnophobia may want to take a pass.

Shōgun is living up to the book so far (at episode 3), even if the casting of Cosmo Jarvis as John Blackthorn is questionable.

I enjoyed most of the Fargo seasons but was saddened by this one. Jennifer Jason Lee has changed so much that I didn’t recognize her. Her acting was excellent. I could not for the life of me get John Hamm’s Mad Men character out of my head for the entire run. So it was Don Draper pretending to be a cowboy sheriff every episode. Crazy right.

Never read the book but saw the first Shogun series way back when and loved it. This one too, so far is excellent.

Questionable how/why? Haven’t read the novel, but I think I’ve only seen him in Lady Macbeth and on The Twilight Zone, so… 2 episodes in, I’m not seeing any red flags. Who’s the dream casting for that character based on your reading?

I think one criticism might be that he is kind of a discount Tom Hardy. Which is the same problem Logan Marshall Green has.

The show is good though. And he seems perfectly capable in the role.
