@Devil is Dill , interestingly (or maybe not) I had made some loose plans to try to attend the concert where it all went down. Ended up not being able to go there. May have missed my chance.
EDIT: It is also cool how the ladies have had strong connections with the grunge era artists from the area throughout the years, including a lot of them (Staley, Cornell) who are no longer with us.

Me too. Though they do play their reminiscent songs (as they pretty much have to given the fans) they are still working on stuff. And thinking about the relationship that early-ish (there were others, Hendrix, The Kingsmen, etc.) rock band has had with the newer bands, it seems to me Ann has been an influence on some of the vocalists, and I cannot imagine that Nancy has not been an influence on guys like McCready. That RS article touches on it nicely. When I was a kid, we could not believe a band from our home area was doing so well. I, and most of my friends, were too young to think that hard about Hendrix yet. Or at least I was. They are a big part of PNW music history, and have still been bringing it in recent years. I wish I had not missed that show.

When X's response to Y's kids being attacked and strangled is "The cops were called, which I thought was totally unnecessary" I don't see how Y can perform with X.
