Euro 2020 (in 2021)

Italy has been quite fun to watch since the start.

Belgium was very underwhelming. Against Denmark they already struggled with high pressure on the midfield, but at least they were incredibly sharp and dangerous when they got a bit of room. Now pretty much all the danger had to come from individual moves rather than smart passing and fluid team moves.

Italy was the better team, played well and played smart when they had to. I hope they will mop up Spain and we'll get Denmark - Italy in the final.

England can actually be decent when they can be bothered to play attacking football.

England-Denmark should be an interesting game. The Danes should be able to cause them more problems than Ukraine could.
 
Congrats to Italy! Some of that match got kinda slow, but a great goal for each side and then the dramatic penalties.

Thought it was quite an entertaining game, despite the scoreline. Tournament overall Italy deserves a spot in the final imo.

The game tomorrow could be another interesting one. Not sure it will be quite as easy as the English media and pundits think. :wink:

I hope Denmark starts like they did against Belgium. If they play like that they'll have torn England several new arseholes before half time.

Italy was a bit weak today, it looks like the loss of the left back is pretty significant. He was such a good tandem with Insigne. Glad they pushed out Spain though.

Yeah, Spinazzola was really a big miss. Emerson isn't anywhere near that level.

Hoping the Danes can pull off something big again. Wonderful story if that happens. There's no pressure or expectation on them, which could help them massively.
There are several of the English players that have choked in big games/finals before. Interesting to see if they do that yet again.
 
As the token England supporter here, I hope England do beat Denmark but there is a sense of fate about them. Irrespective of which side does come out on top tonight, I suspect Italy will win the final.
 
Was an interesting game till the 60th minute or so. Denmark seems simply not fit enough to keep up. Even the subs looked completely destroyed after 90 minutes. Penalty was a bit so so, but considering the fact that Denmark hadn't been doing anything beyond clearing balls from their box for over half an hour it's not undeserved.

Really hoped for Denmark to take this one, but they just ran out of steam too early.
 
Btw, did Grealish nail Southgate's mom or something? Putting him in only to take him out again while he was causing tons of danger makes no sense.
 
It was not a classic but I don't care. First time in my lifetime England have made it to a final. Still suspect Italy may have too much on Sunday but anything can happen in a final so I'm hoping.

Yeah the Danes were clearly knackered. They haven't had the chance to rotate as much as the other teams, not enough quality on the bench,
Only had 10 men the last 15 minutes as well, so there wasn't really any way they could get back in it. Heroic stuff since the first game.

England deserved to win tonight really. But not like that.
For me that is a clear dive. Not the first time Sterling has gone down very easily. Kane had a good attempt at stealing one earlier as well. Really hate that shit. :embarrassed:
Oh well.

Think Italy will win the final though, assuming they'll be better than last night.
