It’s Bobby Bonilla day!
He really made off.
Superb.
Even better. The Mets have lost 2 of 3 to the Marlins, and are now in last place in the NL East with the worst record in the National League.
Moving will be such sweet sorrow.
*Looks at Nats record*
*says nothing*
LOL Bleacher Report. The game is the game. How the game is played is cyclical, and how it's criticized is hypocritical. We demand home runs from hitters and strikeouts from pitchers, and then complain when we get them. And then every once in a while, someone does something new, and then everyone else copies it. Buncha old men yelling at clouds.
Agreed, to a point. The homer fetish that infects the AL is indeed a pox on the game. Put the fucking ball in play. I am not a fan of the shift, but rather than ban it, hitters need to learn to hit against it. Do that, and they look foolish. I do think that the SS and 2B need to start on their respective sides of second base however. I could do without digital strike zones, as the umpire diversity is an essential element to the game. Who gives a shit how long a game is? The Giants/Mets last night was a lot of fun...all 13 innings.
Good article on the current state of the game...

To be truthful, baseball has always been boring, but this year it's become apparent even to the aficionados. I still enjoy watching the occasional game, however, because it's relaxing.
You're watching the wrong parts.
Watching the 'exciting' parts of a game could be done in 1/2 hour - with plenty of time left for commercials.
