Any motorcycle enthusiasts in Weinertown?

I got a ride in today, before the County ordered lockdown.
I rode around the foothills for about 2 hours.
Stopped for a smoke before heading home at a park near home.

The pics suck as usual'

My hiking spot is across the road from the parking lot.
I will try and sneak over tomorrow for a bit.

Played out in the mud today. Drove my right knee into a rock but otherwise awesome time across the river in Washington today.

Traded in my little 50cc scoot for something a bit faster.
Royal Enfield Continental Gt650 twin.
Fun little machine, makes a great companion to the Softail.

Our local dealer is inside an Harley franchise. It's an odd mix and they look at you kinda funny when you ask about the REs.
RE has really stepped up their game in the past few years and the introduction of these models are really repositioning them in the market. IIRC both of the new twins were designed by former Triumph engineers.

I wonder if RE has improved fit and finish? The singles were neat, but it was evident the parts came right out the sand casts and onto the bike, lots of leftover flashing, parts that needed to be trimmed to fit better, etc.

Meanwhile, the cellophane decal peeled of my BMW roundel this weekend, I always assume they were enamel. $67+ shipping for the correct replacement, but there are lots of 70mm roundel options I'll consider first.

Yes, substantially.
I have a friend w/ an older RE 500 classic and the welds on that frame look like they were done by children smoking cigarettes in on hand and dabbing a stick welder with the other. That bike, overall, is a mess. TBH, you're still getting some parts that are selected for the price point but the overall F&F is significantly improved over the models I've seen.
