2019 Concert thread

Got mah tix!

How was that boat craziness?

It’s as wild as you wanna get. As for me, I keep it pretty chill. Couple of margaritas, see some cool bands that rarely tour stateside, hang with friends, little bit of blackjack, etc.

Managed to avoid the Napalm Death pit, so that’s good...

Added Davey Knowles and Friends (Some Rory Gallagher alums but Ted McKenna just passed so not sure if this is a go) and Hood/Cooley.

A buddy of mine wants to drop $1200 a ticket for orchestra seats for Santana. I really hope he is joking. I told him I didn't think I would drop $20 to see Santana.

The Comet is Coming is playing a local hipster cider bar here in June!

And I still haven't listened to their new album!

@Help!I'maRock! have you heard it?

It's not out until March. They're playing SF on a Tuesday, so even if I was living there, I probably wouldn't get to go. That said, I'm finally going to see the Mattson 2 (who fucking Uma got me into) with Kikagaku Moyo on 3/8 here in Das Capitol.

I also have designs on seeing John Medeski, Chris Robinson, Kaki King, and Gomez.

Built To Spill, March 28th. I missed them the past two tours but I got tickets for this one.

Wife wants us to go catch Elton on this "goodbye" tour (which so far has dates booked well into 2020), but I'm afraid to look at third-party ticket prices.

Wife also wants us to catch TTB in July by Dayton (very likely), and Mule in Butler, OH in June (not likely; that is an inaugural outdoor festival...).

Stray Cats if/when they announce more US dates.

Not really jonesing for much else. Keeping an eye on the smaller area venues to see what shows are in the pipeline.

Impromptu date night: currently with Mrs. CBH to see Gladys Knight in a smallish theater tonight only 15 minutes away from our house. Early ValDay present.

I was checking the upcoming schedule at The Iron Horse in Nothampton and saw...The Yardbirds, featuring the original drummer. :facepalm:

I am tempted to see the show with Peter Asher and Jeremy Clyde. It seems like an interesting pairing, and recent clips show they still have decent voices.
