2019 Concert thread

Has anyone noticed or felt that the price of tix to larger shows has taken another jump up?

I was considering seeing Heart, as they had reunited after the sisters made up, and I have never seen them live. Their ticket prices a couple few years ago were well under a hundred. Now they are 125 and up, for a Tacoma Dome show. Opted out.

Thinking this year, I will look for smaller, more intimate shows. Unfortunately, Bob Mould's dates don't work for me. So, will keep my eyes open for something else.

Yeah, tickets for some shows are getting ridiculous, plus we are not really amenable to arena shows these days. We look for small shows that have reasonable ticket prices, as there are not too many big shows we have any real desire for. The only exceptions we would pay the cash for and endure the crowd would be if Springsteen goes back out with E Street one more time, and my wife really wants to catch Elton.

If it’s more than $50, I’m out. I made an exception for Iron Maiden this summer, but that doesn’t happen often.

Both those would be on my list. And I wanted Heart on that list too. But I am just not going to pay that to be in the Tacoma Dome. A cheaper seat at the Puyallup Fair a couple years ago would have been better.

I got permission to fly to Cali and see John 5 and the Creatures with special guests Corey Taylor, Fred Coury, Shavo from SOAD, and others at the Whiskey. I just can't do it. The show is $25 but getting out there and hotel etc. is not worth it.
Florida sucks for good shows.

Yeah, parts of FL suck. When I lived in Ponte Vedra Beach, I did manage to catch a bunch of good ones at the Freebird Cafe and St Augustine Amphitheater, but a lot of good ones just pass it all together.

Which version of the Lemonheads will it be? My interest level will be highly dependent on who's in the band w/Evan.
