Recommend something on netflix...

I've finished Bloodline s2 and Peaky Blinders s3. Bloodline was the bleakest thing I've ever watched. Peaky Blinders was excellent in almost every way.

Hannibal is fantastic. Especially if you've read the novels. But still gorgeous. Not sure if it's still on Netflix.

Ugh, the Mrs loves that show. Just hearing it from the other room makes me want to slaughter that whole up talking family of twats.
Lol. My wife and I like to nit pick the characters. Overall it's good though for us. I called the season 2 t-bone like a champ all the way back in season 1.

I'm watching Arn: The Knight Templar right now. It's in Swedish, with subtitles, though a smattering of other languages is spoken, including English.

I'm 2 episodes in (each roughly a hour long) out of 4, and pretty good so far. I'd recommend it for someone who likes history, and medieval stories.

Follows the book fairly close, though i've only read the first book. I never bought the 2nd volume after i found out what a piece of work the author is/was.

Anyways, if the first part of this movie/series was filmed in Sweden, I'd really like to visit some of these places. Gorgeous scenery.

And speaking of gorgeous….Sofia Helin (the main love interest in the movie)

If you like Westerns, I just got done watching Forsaken (2015).

Not bad, certainly much better than it's 43% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes would indicate. Keifer Sutherland, Donald Sutherland, Brian Cox, Demi Moore…and a nice, if somewhat of a 'Val Kilmer/Doc Holliday'-style performance from Michael Wincott (been in a ton of movies…Guy of Gisbourne in the 1991 Robin Hood). Decently shot, well acted, even if the script was a bit too dime-store-novel, a common problem with many Westerns.

"They Look Like People"

I watched this with a friend.. and he fell asleep half way through it, but I thought it was great. Pretty solid little indie paranoid thriller.

I, Claudius

BBC mini series about Rome. It's dated but the writing is excellent.

Didn't realize it's on Netflix.

Yeah, it's fantastic. Great adaptation of two Robert Graves historical novel.

It is basically filmed on a low-budget TV set; think of the BBC Shakespeare series or 70s Masterpiece Theatre. But you stop caring after 20 minutes because the writing is stellar, and because the acting is damn-near perfect from top to bottom. John Hurt as Caligula does practically everything short of lighting himself on fire.

Hannibal was one of my favorite shows. (though I don't think its made it to netflix, atm)

I have high hopes for Fuller and American Gods. I'm not a huge Gaiman fan in general, but I quite enjoyed that book. It'll be interesting to see how they open up the story if they want to extend it past the basic plot in the book.

Just stumbled across a 62-episode show called Metastasis. It appears to be a scene for scene remake of Breaking Bad, in Spanish.

Walter Blanco y Jose Miguel Rosas!

i'm in the third season of The Killing( only one season left dammit) and have really dug the acting and the writing in particular

Ok, I'm watching the Swedish/Danish TV series 'The Bridge' right now, and I have a question.

Are the languages of Sweden & Denmark close enough that people from either country can understand each other? That's what I'm getting from watching the series so far.

@Wilmer X ? @Dexter Inferno ? You guys are our resident Scandinavians…

Oh, and Sofia Helin
