Recommend something on netflix...

Season 2 of Narcos has been up for about two weeks. It’s a little slow, but I just hit episode four and it really got rolling.
A co-worker recommended Narcos to me a while ago...I struggled to get into it. I think I saw 2 episodes....maybe.
I've been meaning to re-visit it for another chance....one of these days I will. Everyone I've spoken to about it says it's really good.

I'm into Strange and Norrell about 4 episodes. Can't say I love it, but I can't stop watching, either.

Cheers to Ben Mendelsohn for his Best Supporting Actor Emmy. His performance as Danny on "Bloodline" was absolutely mesmerizing to watch. :thu:

I just watched the first two episodes of Luke Cage. It’s the best Marvel show so far. The dialogue and acting are far superior to Daredevil and Jessica Jones.
I am going to check that one out next.

Ok, I'm watching the Swedish/Danish TV series 'The Bridge' right now, and I have a question.

Are the languages of Sweden & Denmark close enough that people from either country can understand each other? That's what I'm getting from watching the series so far.

@Wilmer X ? @Dexter Inferno ? You guys are our resident Scandinavians…

Oh, and Sofia Helin

Well... most Swedes have difficulties to understand Danish, so when Danes speak with Swedes they often tries to speak slow and clear. The changes of the Danish language seems to have come quite fast, because when you read a Danish newspaper most words are the same. And when I recently saw a TV documentary about the Danish resistance during World War II, and they had people from the resistance who had been interviewed right after the war, there was no need to translate. It sounded almost like Swedish.

I just got done watching a Danish western… The Salvation. It actually wasn't too bad of a movie, not many subtitles since it takes place in the American west, the characters speak English.

And Eva Green is in it, for @wok :)

Has something like a 76% Tomato rating on rottentomatoes, if my opinion doesn't mean much :embarrassed:

64% on Metacritic.

The Expanse…yea or nay?

The son of a friend of mine said it was like Game Of Thrones except in space.

I've heard very good things about The Expanse and have been dutifully refusing to torrent it for a year, waiting for it to hit a streaming service. :thu:

Just finished Space Race. It was pretty good overall, but style tended to take precedence over substance. Still, for a space junkie like me, it was enjoyable. At the end of the series, they mention that Korolev's R7 booster and Soyuz spacecraft are still in use. What's even more impressive is that these are still the ONLY spacecraft the Russians will use to launch humans into orbit. Quite a testament to Korolev's genius.

I'm a few episodes into the second season of Galavant. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm enjoying it. To give you an idea of the humor involved, one the the characters is singing about the benefits of being part of the upper society in medieval times. One of the benefits mentioned is that his tapeworm is probably a foot and a half longer than when he was poor.

I blazed through Bojack Horseman (epic) and moved onto Orange is the New Black. Excellent show and no nightmare fuel like other prison soap operas. I'm looking at you Oz. No I'm not. I'm looking at the floor sir. Please don't see me.
