OMG Politics, I'm over it already.

Sometimes I think that the Dems are one election cycle from the self destruction the Republicans are going through. We need to get the money out of politics which is the main reason I see that Bernie is holding fast. That, and I think even he is surprised at how well he has done. If he had realized he truly had a chance earlier he might have been able to pull this out. I think he will do very well in Ca, but not well enough to pull off the upset win. He wants, and deserves, one of if not the keynote speech at the convention. Hil and the DNC need to not only accept but embrace and welcome him, and his millions of votes.

The Democratic party (like the Republican party) exists solely to serve the interests of its corporate owners.

I don't disagree with this, but why sink money into candidates who don't win? What do democrat corporate owners get if we have President Trump and a congress with a republican majority? They lose big time. While Sanders wants to get the money out of politics, he can't do that without the support of congress. If the house and senate were held by the democrats, then they could afford to lose the white house but that isn't the case.

That's why corporations donate to campaigns on both sides. They win either way.

There are no "democrat corporate owners". There are only corporate owners. They own both parties.

That's not to say that some corporate owners aren't a bit more aligned with one party or the other because of ideology (like the NRA), but in general, those corporate owners are far more concerned about getting someone in office who will protect their interests than they are what party that person belongs to.

Sanders has made the issue of big money in politics his number one campaign issue, and it has obviously struck a chord in the heart of America. While Sanders as president couldn't do anything about it without Congress' help, he could lead the American people to keep pressure on Congress which could very likely lead to meaningful campaign finance reform. Additionally, his Supreme Court replacement(s) might also very well be willing to revisit Citizens United.

and they don't give a rat's ass about bathrooms or wedding cakes, but if they can keep the general population arguing about that sort of thing, they won't notice the ever growing disparity of wealth.
:thu: And there you have it in a nutshell.

Setting the bar a little low, aren't ya?
This is Trump we're talking about here.

He's doing exactly what he's always done. The thing is, he IS a businessman. He will negotiate whatever he sees fit to get his way. All of his positions are negotiable.

What the media is doing is trying to find something to alienate his core voters. He got a lot mileage out of his anti-Muslim rhetoric, so making him seem less so will possibly lose him some support.

Trump has to find a way out of some of the really outlandish stuff he's proposed. This is where his inexperience is showing through. Hillary would have a staffer release some unsubstantiated trial balloon (like she wants to explore releasing the gov files on aliens), but nothing that can actually stick to her.

i think that the DNC machine is actually holding back until the primaries are over and there is one dem candidate. then they're gonna pull out all the stops and go after trump with every word that fuck-tard says.

Watching you dutifully soft-pedal this idea that Trump and Hillary have so much in common is amusing. It's akin to a child living in an apartment trying to convince her parents to buy her a pony because the little girl down the hall got a gerbil. It's completely detached from reality but the passion and effort is admirable.
