I don't really want to get too deep into it but you don't see the issue with holding some actress up as a "prominent Jew who is unrelenting in her Jewishness" to prove you're not anti-Semitic?

Fair enough, I wrote as I speak for once. Anyone that truly knows me, knows that religion is the very least of my worries.

Why would "prominent jew" be off limits to me however? I can see the "unrelenting" comment being misconstrued, but an I really not able to use the word Jew at all? In any context? Especially since you had absolutely no idea about my religious beliefs prior to this topic.

well, here in civil engineering world we've been getting auto-corrects when writing specs....we use the word "manhole" and the pc police have programmed the auto-correct to tell us that we should use the term "personhole", because "manhole" is sexist.

I'm sure the same way you would. I don't have the time to split hairs with you guys about this. I believe I've made my stance more than clear to anyone who can read.

I can care less if someone is Jewish, Druid, muslim, christian, orthodox...etc... as long as they're cool people. Always have been that way.

If I was clumsy with my terminology and someone misconstrued my words accidentally or because they were going through my statements with a fine toothed comb looking to out me as a closet anti semite then I apologise.

If it's the latter, then you really need some new hobbies.

As a Jewish man who read the statement, I agree with the assessment that it was clumsy, and having known you, I don't think you're anti-Semetic. That said, "prominent Jew who is unrelenting in her Jewishness" needs no fine tooth comb. Many people are proud of their religions, regardless of what they are. If you feel she's too "in your face" about it, the solution is to unfollow her.
