Not to mention the Muslim conversions, or Obamacare Euthanasia, or to activate the chem trail whatever or other.

Affordable healthcare for everyone wouldn't be controversial.

Oh, but it is. The people steering the conservative agenda now would choose lining the pockets of people profiting from the system and pursuing "small government" over actually helping people not have to decide between heating their house, putting food on the table or going to the doctor 100 times out of 100. Some of it seems ideological and some of it seems to be purely out of spite for the unwashed masses.

Republicans can never say they care about family values again for embracing Trump and shunning the Obamas

President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and Dr. Jill Biden.
They entered the White House with impeccable integrity and are leaving the White House Friday with said integrity fully intact. They are honest, sincere, kind, decent, gentle, grounded, compassionate men and women of reliable moral character

And listen, I say all of this, without a single reference to their politics. I'm talking about who they are as people. The Obamas and the Bidens are good people. You know it. I know it. The world knows it.

Yet, for eight straight years, they were never treated as such by American conservatives. Instead, they were treated like they were no good, filthy, dirty, lying, cheating, stealing, corrupt, immoral bastards by the Republican Party. The truth is that they aren't even very liberal. They are moderate Democrats. Most deep progressives and lifelong liberals have been frustrated with the White House for most of the past eight years, but again, you'd never know that, from the way conservatives have treated them.

This much I know — the Republican Party, from this point forward, can never again claim that it values integrity, or decency, or morality. They had it for the past eight years and couldn't find it in their hearts to acknowledge it and then chose who may very well be the most immoral presidential candidate in the history of candidates as their next president.

While it might be a nice piece on it's own, let's not forget that the NY Daily News is shit paper that's no better than the NY Post or the National Enquirer.

Yes, but it's an opinion piece and while written by someone many recognize as a 'mouthpiece for the BLM movement', think it provokes some interesting questions like, it the lack of general conservative acknowledgement of the 'family values' quality of the Obama and Biden families a matter of party loyalties or does it go deeper?

I get so mad when I see pence and mcconnel saying the dems should give them a chance.

they literally said they would block everything obama tried to do from day one.

the hypocrisy is really infuriating. you have to compromise to get things done and they refused for the last 8 years but now they want everyone to keep an open mind and work together.

And they promised more of the same if Clinton had won, some even going so far as to say they would not approve any supreme court nominations for her whole term.
