those reports were by Time and Life magazines....not AP, UPI, Reuters. Time and Life were the equivalent of twitter today.
so your point is....?Time was always a right-wing propaganda magazine. People forget, but decades ago Time got so bad that Newsweek was started just to provide an alternative. And life Magazine was always just photos and celebrity gossip.
This very moment in my newsfeed:The quasi news sites are this generation's National Enquirer. Just as many people believe the shit on them as believed Bigfoot kept a lumberjack as a love slave there just wasn't a place to tally the idiots that did.
Obama says he could have "mobilized" Americans if he had run again

I'm reading that as partly a slam against Clinton and the DNC. I also think he's right.
He probably wouldn't have won by as large a margin as prior, but he still would've taken it.
I think the real problem with social media is that it’s designed to encourage people to argue about dumb shit. If I log into Facebook it’s going to show me a slew of clickbait from Huffington Post, Daily Kos, Breitbart, Rush Limbaugh, and an assortment of articles about Trump, Sanders, and Warren. I don’t want to see any of that garbage, and I’ve told Facebook to hide that shit a thousand times. But people arguing about that shit generate ad revenue, and that’s all Facebook cares about. So the pump the most absurd shit to the top, be it Bill Maher ranting or Macedonian news sites claiming that Democrats run a child sex ring out of the basement at Comet Ping Pong. And, unfortunately, an amazing minority Americans are addicted to this shit, so it’s hard for the sane majority to just stay the hell away.

He definitely did. But I think that there was probably a chunk of folks that cost Clinton the election that weren't motivated by trump as much as they were against Hillary. As you can say that goes both ways but most other democratic candidates probably wouldn't have had that problem. The DNC screwed themselves hard this year.Did Donald Trump mobilize Americans?
Or did he mobilize the Americans the vocal people here don't agree with?

Honestly, I think if any other democratic had run, they would have won. A large portion of people believe Benghazi was her fault, even though every witch hunt has said it wasn't her fault. They believe her email server was illegal and she should be put in jail for it, even though the FBI said she was clear. They also believe the Clinton Foundation is corrupt and no amount of press can change their minds. The only democrat Trump could have beaten was Clinton.

i tend to agree, even tho i really don't like hillary. i voted for her to try to stop trump, holding my nose.Honestly, I think if any other democratic had run, they would have won. the problem with this election on the dem side, as i see it, is that the dnc basically proclaimed it was Hill's "turn". everybody else stay the hell out. i mean who really ran against her in the primaries?
then again, who was there that was willing and qualified to run against her?
Willing is the question. There were plenty of qualified democrats.
I don't know about them being qualified. Clinton has always been a weak campaigner. Yet she steamrolled everyone but Sanders. If those others got crushed like that then maybe they’re not cut out to run the government.
its funny how trump gets to simply just close his illegally operating charity and that is enough for everyone. its hard for me to process how the double standards are not pissing more people off in this country. his "charity" was a front to avoid paying income taxes and never even had a license to operate in the first place but he just gets to shut it down and that's the end of that. its amazing.
last week he just said he sold all of his stocks so everything was cool as far as conflicts of interest. no proof of it mind you, just words and everything is all good. I feel like I am living in a messed up nightmare devoid of any logic.
While this election did represent a number of unique events in modern American political history, it's also easy to lose perspective that we are talking about the two least popular candidates for president in the modern era & an incoming President with a historically unprecedented low approval rating.
