It's even worse than it looks.

Their old governor (Steve Beshear) built one of the best ACA marketplaces in the country: Kynect. Since Kentucky has some of the poorest counties in the country, this was a big deal - suddenly healthcare became available for many Kentuckians who could never have afforded it.

Then Kentucky voted in Matt Blevin whose main campaign promise was that he'd dismantle Kynect. When he actually dismantled Kynect (and tried to use federal ACA grant funds to do it), Kentuckians expressed shock and surprise.

Having apparently learned nothing, they voted for Trump, and now are expressing concern about losing the ACA altogether.

And every ill than befalls them as the consequences of their decisions ... they've earned.

This isn't as far fetched as you might think.

Wow. Not only may he not be able to read, but a ton of people voted for him because he is a tremendous businessman, and more specifically, a real estate guy. What kind of good businessman doesn't read the contracts they sign? Good thing the president doesn't have anything important to read and sign.

It's actually more like "He was kicking my ass in a fight that I instigated, so I shot him. Aren't I a fucking hero?"
(if we're talking about zimmerman it was more like)

he was kicking my ass in a fight that i instigated after the police specifically told me to stay in my car but i figured i would follow him anyway and then i shot him because i can claim "stand my ground" law makes it self defense.

not to put too fine a point on it. rolleyes1

Tyrion Lannister?

He seems like a reasonable guy. But I'm only on season 2 so

I was driving home last night and cops were blocking a portion of the interstate by the airport. I sat there for 20 minutes, called my wife who reminded me that Trump was in town for his "Thank you, rubes" tour. Sure enough about 5 minutes later a huge motorcade of cops, black SUVs and a couple ambulances rolled through. I did my civic duty and flipped every last car off. That's my cool story bro for today.

President-elect Donald Trump lashed out at Vanity Fair and predicted the editor will be fired, a day after the magazine published a scathing restaurant review of the Trump Grill.

“Has anyone looked at the really poor numbers of @vanityfair Magazine,” Trump tweeted Thursday morning.

“Way down, big trouble, dead! Graydon Carter, no talent, will be out!” he added, referring to the editor of the magazine.

On Wednesday afternoon, the magazine published an article titled, “Trump Grill Could Be the Worst Restaurant in America.”

“The allure of Trump’s restaurant, like the candidate, is that it seems like a cheap version of rich,” the author said, claiming the dumplings were disastrous, the steak overcooked and fatty, and the burger “sad.”

“Renowned butcher Pat LaFrieda once dared me to eat an eyeball that he himself popped out of the skull of a roasted pig. That eyeball tasted better than the Trump Grill’s (Grille’s) Gold Label Burger,” the review stated.

Dessert wasn’t any better — the complimentary chocolate cake tasted like “Tums.”

Calling it a “slop,” the author said, “as soon as I got home, I brushed my teeth twice and curled up in bed until the nausea passed.”

:chow:
