I was talking about government contracts in general, not specifically military contracts. That may be why the ines I know were not in the military.

I've anyways found that funny because Jesus had to die for christians sins, so without his crucifiction, christians wouldn't have the first class ticket to heaven. When a christian meets a Jew, they should thank them. Not too mention Jesus was a Jew so there's that.

I'm not even very religious but every time someone says "your people" it makes me think that is code for something much less polite.

I was thinking that as I was responding, but just flung my crap on the wall anyway. The whole contracting thing has been a weird self-imposed monkey on the back of the government. I'd guess its roots could be traced back to whatever party was particularly against big gov't./pro small gov't. ...it all depends upon which was particularly conservative at the time.

When people say that to me,I ask which values are specifically Christian. its funny,but they can't come up with one that doesn't predate Christianity.

except that none of the founding fathers were christians, they were deists and there is no where in the declaration or the constitution that mentions 'god'. it says 'creator'.

The type of fascist Christians the supported Trump tend to assume everything that they like is about, in praise of, fine with, and because of "their" god. Everything else is bad/evil, against god, and likely can be blamed on another religion, nation, or non-white people...usually all three.

That said, they also dwell on the Old Testament, which is not about Christianity and is often in direct opposition to the words and example of Christ. Many Christians are highly confused, yet unable to recognize their confusion...and certainly unable to live with the separation of church and state (just to bring us back to the topic at hand :thu: ).
