OMG Politics, I'm over it already.

My claims of what?

When the President has sexual relations with an intern, it's sleazy. It's also an abuse of power, fraternization, adultery and reason for court martial, imprisonment and dishonorable discharge for military members (but not for the commander in chief). The argument can (and has been) made that it's not consensual when one individual holds that much influence over the other. I don't think it's a stretch to say that President of the United States is a position of power.

The level of sleaze isn't even on the same planet.

BTW, If nothing Monica did was against her will, none of it was sleazy. You of all people should know that
Brother, I am an expert on it, and I don't deny the label when applied to me...

As always, all I'm asking for from the people here is fairness and tolerance, 2 traits that the left is supposed to hold dear...I feel it unnecessary , and beneath all of you, to characterize the man'said family based on your feelings for him...I would, and have, objected just as strongly to similar things being done to the Clintons...

The level of hatred and mistrust felt by both sides is what has brought us to the place we are now...and as a moderate independent I am stuck right in no man's land between the 2...

Those aren't claims - that's factual history.

Which is easily solved if the constituents believe their representative is out of touch with their needs and concerns. Kicking out competent professionals for no other reason than to keep the revolving door of amateurs rolling in is a self defeating act.

Would you trust a first year med student to do open heart surgery on you, or would you opt for the head of surgery at Stanford with 500+ operations in their bag?

That's a pretty easy choice from where I am sitting.
In theory, this makes sense. And to be clear, I am also on the fence about term limits for these very reasons.

However, it has been proven on multiple occasions that it can be difficult to oust the incumbent, regardless of their performance. They have the upper hand when it comes to exposure and raising campaign finances. Unfortunately, a large percentage of the voting population makes their decisions based on TV advertisements (which is a whole 'nuther issue), which again favors the incumbent. So while your first sentence is logical in theory, in reality it can often fall short.

The only thing Bill Clinton is guilty of is terrible taste.

Am I rite

Funny how all of that never made it to the impeachment hearings that Ken Star spent 40 Million tax payer dollars on.

Consensual sex is never going to be more sleazy than starting a war as revenge for an insult to a family member and getting 4000+ US service members killed.

I have only said bad things about the Donald himself. But I would love to punch his 2 sons in their meathead faces. Don't they look like they could be the douchebag rich kid villains from an 80's movie? Can't you picture either of them on the side cheering when Johnny sweeps the leg?

If the constituents are apathetic, they will change nothing. I still think arbitrarily tossing out good people who know what they are doing in the misguided hope that their amateur replacements will do a better job, based on the arguments that a few might not be doing a great job is short sighted.

If we didn't have presidential term limits we would in all likelihood be celebrating the 3rd Obama term instead of bemoaning the reign of the cheeto-messiah.

Term limits are directly responsible for the horrible choices we had this year.

Arguing about the speculative impact of term limits & radical campaign reforms that are never going to happen or splitting hairs about who's the most sexually offensive/sleazy president seems like a lot of pissing in the wind. It's all good for a few seconds but quickly becomes pointless.

Have you met the American populace? The vast majority of people vote against their own self interests (people on welfare voting for Republicans that want to slash welfare, for example).

Also, the vast majority of voters are old motherfuckers that don't give a fuck about the world because they won't live long enough to see the problems manifest themselves and that's how we get wash, rinse, repeat with Congress.

Constitutional Convention. Cut them out from the decision all together.

Most days I think to myself that you'll never have the numbers to tear down the system from within so you need to burn it down from outside. Sounds a bit out there when you stop to think about it.

I was talking to my Dad a few weeks ago and he was spitting all sorts of venom about the Clintons & I know he and his buddies have never stopped circulating all those chain emails about how horrible they are. I came to a really interesting realization that portion of his generation, the baby boomers/flower children/former hippies that had to grow up and put on a suit to go to work, really see the Clintons as a reflection of how much their generation failed on the promise to buy the world a coke and teach it how to sing. My Mom however is completely the opposite of this POV.

Census data would show otherwise. I liberally chose "old motherfuckers" to be anyone above 50. That bin is about 111 million, with 18-49 yr olds adding up to about 145 million. You whippersnappers outnumber us old motherfuckers.
